With another separation, Meesam and so many side characters...makes no sense continuing the story. Unless they start fresh with the same cast.

BTW I never thought he ever liked her as a person or even loved her like a sister. He only tolerated her because he hoped she would change, she is still a member of his family and he didn't want to discard her, as an elder brother it was his duty as he pitied her. After his marriage to Meerab he seemed to have changed his tone towards her, hoping a softer approach would make her see sense.
