Hey these are my observations of the plot so far:
Murtasim had the same question, when blinded by hatred can meerab spoil Mariyum's life❓
Remember Meerab emotionally manipulated him into eating food which can cause him anaphylaxis but got him treated immediately. Which has proven she can be damaging but not lethal. He's afraid of her damaging intentions and hence asked her to stay away from his family.
He confessed that he has no control over his feelings for her and she can be freed from his imprisonment of love only when he can't shoulder her torment anymore, hence he was wondering if she's testing his tolerance with this heinous act.
🏧 He felt it has become damaging for his family and he thought he can't risk his family reputation for his one-sided love, that's why he left her at her foster parents.
Haya is also aware of their hot and cold romance issues which keep her hopes of becoming murtasim's wife alive, hence she's trying her luck wherever possible.
Murtasim has become softer towards Haya after his marraige because he feels, his situation with Meerab is similar to Haya with him. After marriage he has understood the pain of one-sided love.
Also, meerab's hot and cold behaviour only complicates matters further. She gives him mixed signals, either of love and physical attraction, or conveniently taunts him over their forced marriage.

But he absolutely has no reason to think she can intentionally destroy a girl's life
Because he very well knows how she was ready to help people like her maid, nyla, even haya.
Especially she was open with him regarding mariyum love. Especially her not knowing anas is zubair.
She told him about promise too which zubair talked about.
