He didn't gave her chance to explain why she did it.
She waited for mariyum to return to explain everything. Because if she starts explaining, she have to tell everything about mariyum who is already in danger.
She told everyone she won't leave until murtasim returns. She thought he will listen to her. But when he said kuch math bolo she understood he also wants her out like his mother.

I think Meerab is murtasim's achilles heel, He very well knows from the day of their wedding he's getting into the marriage because of his emotional investment upon her and he can do anything for her.
Also he very well knows he may not get anything in return, hence he can easily believe that meerab hasn't visited him in the hospital.
It's not because of his lack of trust, but because he's confident meerab will never do anything good for him, according to him she has hatred for him, which is nearly impossible to change with anything. That's why he even believed when MZ's taunting him about Meerab.
He can believe she hates him or doesn't want relationship or anything. He is justified in that.
But he absolutely has no reason to think she can intentionally destroy a girl's life

I slightly disagree on this part.. the reason why she doesnt say anything is because she knows she has hurt him. She does feel guilty and therefore she doesnt fight him back. Yes she hoped he would listen to her.. everything back fired on her the moment anas turned out to be zubair.
And i dont blame murtasim at the same time as well… i still dont believe he thinks she helped knowing it was MZ.. thats stupid when he himself said i trust you..
