The answer should be 2. Why did they multiply 4 with 2

2 easy why to multiply when its divide

If a number/term changes the side of an equation (going to the opposite side), the original calculus becomes the opposite, too.

(reminds me of human relationships)

you can have 4+6 = 10 is the same than 10= 4+6 (no individual changed side).

with "x" as the unknown entity, others have to change side to expose "x".

So plus becomes minus and multiplied becomes divided.

Take this: 20 = 10 x - 30

What do you get for x?
