First she didn't want her to be happy but now she just wants katha to stay away from her family.

I think the all-nighter by Viaan is to show his seriousness about becoming a dad to kathaa's child. He's putting efforts despite never meeting the tough-stick(Ehsan POV)even once.

Viaan is highly intelligent and he's very well aware of his emotional vulnerabilities stemming from his past trauma and he is brave enough to admit, make an attempt to get rid of them and strong enough to seek help where needed.

Viaan willingness and having the accurate grasp of the Situation make him a very sensible person.

Viaan is a very good companion because the way he found Dodo's colour blindness(even she was unaware of) how he could convince Dodo's kids(they were rude with kathaa as well) his support during Aarav missing track, he took care of kathaa during their Lonavala stay, he made perfect tea for her at road side and he convinced kathaa to relive titanic pose during their long drive makes him an endearing life partner.

Kathaa is subconsciously connected to the kind side of Viaaan and hence feels herself to be undeserving him. She thinks he deserves to experience everything from scratch with someone who's never married. It's not because Katha's being hypocritical but her trying not to be selfish.

What a juvenile idea? To understand something, you have to experience it😒. If this is true, then, we will all be insensitive blokes roaming around, degrading people, their experiences and circumstances. Because not been there and not done that🤢The writers are missing the point and making Viaan R this immature guy💔 Is it practical to experience everything to be sensitive and open to other ideas and points of view? Case in question as Bana pointed out P&G male CEO catering to women's sanitary needs. I hope they don't go too overboard with Viaan seeking out " a pregnant woman"😲

From my standpoint, the only thing worth mentioning in this, is his silent presence and support to Katha when Aarav went missing👍🏼 This is what I expected, a mature guy who can be of support to his partner in difficult times. The Viaan of yesteryears had the potential to be this mature guy👍🏼 who could be a rock for his partner. Now, not so sure😔 The current Viaan just runs with anything that comes out of her mouth, no thinking, no reflection or rebuttal or recourse. He is the new " yes man" in town😒

Mili...& Raji...enjoyed both your view points from yesterday's episode😊! Am putting my views in a single post because we are all talking about Viaan's characterisation here and how we interpret him.

Viaan's characterisation really confuses me. Some days I feel I get him and some days I don't understand why I root for this character!! My reaction to the first scene was exactly like Ehsaan's (Samar was excellent in that scene)...a mix of bewilderment & exasperation at what the hell is wrong with Viaan, that he has completely lost it. Why are the writers making Viaan's desire for understanding fatherhood so literal...to play tag along with any random pregnant woman to get better understanding of what?? the experience of being baby father! I did not get the logic behind that at all and I hope they were only joking and this ridiculous ides will not be executed🤣!

But that weird scene aside, if you reflect on what kind of a person Viaan has been shown to be, you see why he going to extreme lengths to get under the skin of fatherhood (no pun intended😆). He is a perfectionist...he likes to do things the right way and in his convo with Ehsaan at one point he did say 'main poorie shiddat se yeh karna chahta hoon'. For him there is no halfway attempts. He is a very passionate person...it is all or none for him. That is why he lacks a sense of balance. His one sided love for Katha is a case in point. Earlier, before the ONS his work was his passion, his sole focus, his raison-de-etre in life and he was shown to be giving it his all... and now its Katha and everything that comes with that package. Well, did they have to make his learning experience to come across as comical and ridiculous? The execution could have been much better, but someone in the writing team likes to make Viaan look silly rather than intense🤦‍♀️ !

They wanted to close the loop of this whole experiencing-fatherhood arc by exploring his childhood trauma issue. I did like the scene in front of his father's picture. It was a very well executed scene. Viaan's reflection in his dad's picture with Teji's reflection in the background. I liked how he said that I want all the pain, anger and hurt to be removed when I open my fist so it does not affect my future relationships. Now if only they would take this childhood trauma track forward with enough angst and emotion, and not whitewash everyone and everything like they have a penchant for doing it would be great. We really need some drama in this one rather than Viaan smiling and forgiving everyone cause love has turned him into a sage! Let's wait and watch.

Is Viaan the right life partner for Katha who can give her the emotional support she needs...I think he is, but he needs to return to a more healthy balanced state of mind before they embark on that journey. Healthy relationship is one of Equals and theirs does not come across as one right now. Where both accept each other with all the warts and flaws. Right now Katha can do no wrong according to Viaan, he worships the ground she walks on. He has lost his own sense of Being because he sees life only through her lens. If he keeps viewing her as his saviour there is a danger of codependency in the relationship. He should heal from his childhood trauma on his own and see her for the flawed human she is too and love her for it.

As for why Katha is refusing to accept her feelings for Viaan, I think the main reason is Adi and his memories. The hallucination scene was a clear pointer to that...she was even afraid of saying it out loud to Adi's ghost...she feels it is betrayal of her one true love. The point of Viaan finding a better more suitable partner than her is just a side consideration to support her denial I feel...an excuse to convince herself more than anyone else, esp. since Teji actually said it in so many to Katha in their confrontation after the Path.

I am not sure if anything I have written here makes any sense...like I said Viaan is one confused person who confuses & tortures poor Ehsaan as well as all of us in the forum🤣🤣!

No idea what the reasoning behind all this is. What are the writers trying to say? This story is on a limbo, unintelligent ideas being thrown at us, it is probably their idea of funny, but in reality it’s just juvenile. Don’t care two hoots for this Viaan. He is neither smart nor endearing.

Also when he let Katha have the room to herself on their way back from Lonavala. He did not take the couch. I will give him points for that. But, given he didn’t let her know that he would be sleeping outside, did she leave the door unlocked? Hmm. Hmm. Hmm.

Very true, neither do our experiences make us experts on various subjects. Experiences are to learn from and grow, never to judge.

She had a beautiful life with Adi. Who would want to rush into another relationship when they have such fond memories? She is a package deal and hence believes, may be partly(?) that Viaan should have the full nine yards experience 😝 of courting, being married, pregnancy, holding a new born etc etc. (Lol in this she truly knows him😝). But me thinks this is an excuse to not have to tread this path and let go of those fond memories.

What more can one say? Honestly, Viaan is the hero and all that so Katha has to end up with him. But what a nutcase to end up with second time round…. If this story has to be beautiful, the writers have to change Viaan- a mature guy who can be of support to his partner in difficult times. Plus funny and endearing. At least Katha is taking it slow and the hope is when she finally comes around, it will be 100% for all that she sees in him. Not a compromise.
