I think he's been stealing Nahar's vitamins.

Nahar carries Saloni.
Nahar picks up Ambika and saves her from the fire. Nahar picks up Narpat and puts him in the car

after all he is saloni's dad. Saloni does everything which pregnant women shouldnt(Starves, runs many miles,met with an accident and survived,went into amnesia and got well, take all the tension of every body around, trying to solve everybody's problems, most importantly never happy)
