All the TV actors failed in Bollywood. KSG, Barun, Gurmeet, Rajeev,etc. You should ask why TV actors cannot make big in Bollywood. My answer to your question is that you need a mentor or a God father in Bollywood or you need to make connections with a big banner if you are outsider like Anushka and Bhumi did. I guess he couldn’t catch any big producers. In other word, you need a backup.

I always personally thought he had a very stiff presence on screen ..:never looked at ease, always looked inhibited, and never seemed to have much charisma …it was like watching a paper bag …

And yes I’ve seen quite a few of his shows (lrl, Kth and even reporters)

U see srks old shows like fauji, or even madhavans old shows like banegi apni baat and they were so so charming …one could tell they would do well in films …irfaan khan used to have so much nuance and ease when he acted in tv shows like star bestsellers

Same with someone like sushanth…he was popular in pavitra rishta but still made his mark in films
