Just came back from watching at an inox...Sadly more than 50% of the seats were unoccupied on a late afternoon show....😭

The movie btw was super duper amazing . I really loved this one more than the first part....would have loved to see more of Aditya Karikalan. He and Nandini were the absolute showstealers of part 2. The scene where they interacted face to face after all these years...was just something !! I'm going again next week to watch that scene only !! 👏 I always thought Ash had the best chemistry with Hrithik. Vikram proved it wrong. Definitely Ash's best onscreen chemistry is with Vikram.

This movie shall be enjoyed by vivid fans of the novel Ponniyin Selvan..Manirathnam should have made it only for Tamil audience I guess

@bold - you spoke my mind there. I always liked her with Hrithik onscreen. But Vikram and Ash had truly set the screen on fire! For me personally, those few minutes of them together onscreen is so much more sizzling and promenient than Ash's chemistry with all her other co-actors whom she worked with earlier. Now this makes me want to watch the tamil version of Raavan again.

Loved PS1, and will watch PS2 next week.

Ash looked so so beautiful in PS1. Shame on SLB for not taking her as Padmavati... She would have looked perfect.

Amen! She was the only one who realistically could pass as someone anyone would see fighting a war over. Deepika is very beautiful too. But she is not Aish.

This is one movie that actually deserves over 800 crores.

I'm not a Tamil, nor a south Indian but this movie will be loved by every quality movie enjoyers. The first time I saw a movie of this genre made almost in a documentary fashion. There's very less ott scenes so you feel like you are actually witnessing day to day occurrences of a past time. 👏 I could see the respect of Mani Ratnam for the story and the audience. Not a single cringe moment.

Watched PS2 in hindi and i liked it..Also, theatre was full. Loved Jayam Ravi, vandiyathevan, nambi, Aishwarya, Vikram but Kundavai and vanathi were more as side characters whereas in book, kundavai grooms vanathi and put her thru several tests to check her courage. At the end, vanathi calls PS as mahout which has its own back story. Vanathi first saw PS as a mahout and was attracted to him but used to chide herself for such thoughts as she was a princess and should never fall in love with a common man. Adding these details may have given them more substance.

My main complaint is they didn't use the songs as whole....evey song was cut in both PS-1 and PS-2...Bharadawaj Rangan- an award winner film critic says it's Mani ratnam new style of directing but i miss songs.

Overall good experience... planning to watch again next week.😍

Can PS2 be watched without having to watch PS1? I’ll read the plot on google but I really don’t want to watch the film unless it’s absolutely necessary.

Yeah. You can. They do give a sort of precap at the beginning

Just know the chola family tree. That will do
