One thing I don't understand here is.. how can time and again repeating "I love you but I will maintain a distance, I will wait for you" be instrumental of patience that he's boastfully talking about to ehsan (and Katha for that matter)

I agree that writers may be want to depict love in "secretive glances", smiling on seeing her, but the moment he vocalises those feelings, it's game over for me.

Ideally he should be maintaining maximum distance, physically and verbally. Let the distance make Katha realise that he really values what she wants of him. Let her realise that he's ready to suppress his "overwhelming gush of feelings" just to make her feel more comfortable and secure. Wouldn't that be beautiful on Viaan's part? Not just that, wouldn't that set before the audience a good example of what a gentleman should be like?

There are so many things that they can do with Viaan's character specially after having him redeemed so well but the writers instead choose to make him a teenager unable to control his hormones which has been repeated on ITV so many times.

So none of us could support it had we don't know viaan and the whole story of WHY HE IS SO ATTACHED TO HER (that's the other point) if the show has drawn viaan as a psycho patient or a man with criminal intentions.

And you said it the same in the bold sentence šŸ’Æ

In the ONS era he was guilty that's why he was behaving like that (redemption track)

But now he isn't guilty to love her

and he doesn't mind rejection as it's her right.

About self-respect i think viaan doesn't consider it like that, he considers her worthy of his trials and feeling her fear from being FREED from her past ( he feels it in the hospital scene and even in lonavala trip)

If katha told him she rejected him out of ONS issue, i think he would back off directly (that's my imagination)

I know it's her decision and she doesn't even need to justify the reason of rejection if she wanted

But the way she rejected him still giving him the abolility to hope as like ( when she could forgive me earlier why couldn't she loves me someday) i don't know if i explained it well

He will try manytimes ( you will remain counting i guess šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚) till he eventually back off at a certain point where he would feel guilty again

I don't know it will come with batman revelation or other fight between them.

yea, we know that viaan is not a bad person at heart but everytime he says those lines about she is his love and she is vital to his survival etc etc, it really gives me the creeps and just reminds me real life news items.

Today's episode was good , I was not watching with much expectations and I enjoyed it. I am fine with this Viaan , though yes was wondering why he was waiting outside her cabin first thing in morning.. But chalo baki episode mein he behaved much better and I was wondering why Katha made a reference to that Architecture piece , only thing could be that Viaan will now find original piece perhaps and that would add to Katha's feelings for him.. Other than that I liked even Aarav-Viaan scene , I see natural chemistry between father and son there. I hope they focus on the revelation track and their feelings after that soon.

That architectural thing was so predictable. He's going to get the original piece for her and prove that hope can indeed become reality if one wishes to.

On topic of some people liking it and some people not, its matter of choice and perception mainly. Some things have irked me too in the show and i wanted it to be different because I was really engrossed into the show at one point that I would even watch repeats. Story is progressing now but they have made some creatives decisions which seemed to keep tone much lighter and rosy to audiences. It seemed little too sweet for my taste šŸ˜†thus but yeah i m not keeping expectations anymore and that helps in enjoying the show. We do appreciate actors talent no doubt about and there is always a scope of healthy criticism for the quality deficit we see in our Indian TV shows.

You atleast say kill of "romance". For me it's imposition atleast till Katha affirms her feelings or whatever she has been feeling post the picnic episode.

He didn't even know his prejudices are making him a not so righteous person and that's where Katha comes in.... She showed him his mistakes and he immediately understood and tried to make himself a better person as much as possible even though his own image about himself is shattered.....

I was just trying to explain his thought process and where he comes from based on what I understood....

He never considered himself as a righteous person. Righteous person questioned himself first. He never questioned himself.

His mindset is of Achiever where he get the result in his own way and he is content with it, not thinking about how others are suffering with his decision. Giving 6 days work to complete in 2 days shows how he was. Righteous person think about other people first.

There is a story of King Ashoka. He was winning war continuously to expand his reign. Then he asked Kalinga to surrender. Kalinga choosed war. Their soldiers were less so woman also jumped into the war. Ashoka win that war but when he entered battlefield he saw women were killed mercilessly. Someone breast are cut, some other parts were cut. He was ashamed to see this. At that women were considered inferior to men. He realized his victory comes after killing people. He had superiority complex which was shattered when he sees his victory comes after killing weaker people by seeing woman. That was triggering part of his life where his arrogance is shattered. He realized he was wrong all this time. Later he spent all his life in spreading peace by building Gautam Buddha's statue.

Different people has different triggering point. For Viaan it is mostly that he become like his father whom he hated all his life.

Riti, he not only replaced the battery in the watch, he also replaced the strap. White is boring, so katha got her watch back with a green strap 😳😳😳 so it was most urgent that he give her the now nicely boxed watch. She of course did not notice the color change šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø what a bummer.
But never mind, he is on a mission now. Find the original drawing. Tra La La La La. He has some work now. And plenty to dream.

A very nice perspective on Viaan's characterisation.

Well, I already shared my perspective so we can agree to disagree....

But the story on Ashoka was brutal yet impactful....
