I agree with you though.... Satya's family having objection to Sai being previously married and having 2 kids is the most absurd thing I have heard. They should be the ones most accommodating.

Always knew it and said it... Satya ka family is not what it seems (as per makers... not us). They will be used to show Chavans as an upgrade. This is just one hint.

Satya's mother is a possessive one. She wanted her son to move on life and be happy. So it's natural, she won't agree to him marrying Sai who is mother to two kids. Only his sister n maushi may comply. Others will object. For me, its now not the kids...as Sai's decision is impulsive based on Virat’s craziness. Let Sai be accepted first whole heartedly, then kids.
