I understand the respecting traditions part. Like there are a lot of traditional and cultural practices here that don't necessarily align with my school of thought but I don't bring up the differences because it would only hurt feelings and why cause unnecessary drama.

I've seen men partake in the fasting so thoda better lagta hai. Younger generation has romanticized it so in a few decades, it'll be common for both men and women to do it.
