This `listening to him' wali progression we saw in E25. And it was much more clear and impactful.

In E25, when Merub tells Murtasim that they need to send Naila home to her parents' village, Murtasim explains to her why that is not practical. She listens to his explanation and backs down.

That scene in E25 was clear growth and progression for both of them after the first Naila kaand when Murtasim won't explain anything to Merub and Merub would not listen to him and do what she wanted.

After what we saw in E25, you are telling me that what happened in E34 today is progression. Sorry. No. Nope. Not falling for it.

If anything, these recent episodes have shown their relationship take several steps BACKWARDS,

I have figured it out 🤯 Meerub is sparing us right now from all the love she is about to barsaoying on Murtu….we all know she’s cheesy AF…just look at the name she gave their daughter…🤭🤭🤭she’s about to give us all overdose of ishq…she was so emotional watching murtu’s ophthalmology checkup that he did for haya…why would she cry like that if she didn’t feel for him…we are gonna witness some romance se bharpur episodes in the future…guys sabra ka phal extremely meetha hoga 🥰🥰 When she acknowledges her feelings there will be no going back…we just need to buckle up 😅😅😅

IMO, she was only trying to salvage the situation and also Mu's reputation. Her stance on this matter has always been - "Don't worry Mariyam, I've got your back !" ,this could either imply getting Mariyam married to Zubie or protecting her from him. Me was never going to go behind Mu's back and do the unthinkable. That's exactly y she was bent on having Zubie approach the family officially so that Mu could do his investigation and give them the nod. She has no agency and she is aware of it !

I DID enjoy seeing Wahaj romancing sleeping Meerab. His expressions were perfect. This man is the romance KING. Does anybody else do it like him in PTV, even Fawad? I watch PTV very much on the sidelines, not fan-ing anyone, but I have seen a decent amount of their shows. I think he does the best romance job, after watching Tere Bin.

It was very well portrayed!!! His eyes, his expressions, everything!!! That whole scene belonged to him alone.

That would be fine if Meerub is shown to not desire him before.

But up until few episodes ago, we clearly saw female desire from Merub.

Gundam had a whole post on it too and I wrote about it too some DTs back. All the scenes and micro-expressions that are evidence of her attraction, desire and being clearly affected by him. And b/w E20-E23 we clearly saw her enjoy his attention and touch (dance, gajra, choodiya scenes etc.).

But since last few episodes, desire has turned to fake pretence and today, naked annoyance at his attention. Today, she was not flustered and fake annoyed like she used to before (e.g. kaan main ghusna scene). Her first immediate instinctive reaction was genuine irritation today. Like what gives? Itni inconsistency in characterization?

Unpopular opinion

I am actually not liking Murtasim’s attitude towards his sister and by that measure women in general. He just doesn’t care about her consent, has literally zero idea about her emotions and is angry that she fell in love.

I am sorry but that is making Murtasim unattractive to me.. he doesn’t ask her whether she wants to marry even though his wife told him she doesn’t want to.. just because a guy is great doesn’t mean a girl has to want to marry him. Nourez doesn’t have to marry H cuz he likes M better. His chahat ke samne both the families surrendered. But M’s chahat is a sin- how can she fall in love with someone?

When I was unmarried, my mother got a proposal which was amazing to her on paper but I just didn’t like him. If you asked me( and they did) what is objectionable about him I couldn’t tell you but I just didn’t want him as my partner. My mom went on a convinced Neha to meet the guy mission and she was so convincing that I almost gave in. My brother who is ten years older than me asked me casually you want to meet this guy? I nodded but he saw something in my face( sadness maybe) and he went to my mom and said I don’t care how amazing this guy is, this won’t go forward. She looks sad about it.
