Dev comes back to the reception looks for vidhi and sees her outside. He goes out - press starts attacking him. He gives two soundbytes - media gets distracted because they all get notifications saying abhi’s arraignment has been fast tracked and he will be presented in court tomorrow. Dev and vidhi leave.

Amba and yogy are watching this press conference - Amba finally says - dev will have to come to me for abhi. Hey bhaggu - this lady beyond cray. I’m getting tired of her - and that is really saying something.

ViDev go to the police station - where the lawyer is like I’ve given abhi’s statement - but we are facing an uphill battle. He asks them to talk to abhi and build his morale.

Police bhaiyya gives taana but lets them see abhi - abhi is broken he’s like I dint do anything. Dev is like we fully trust you. Abhi says every time I do something stupid, every time you forgive me - im sorry for this mess we’re in.

dev vidhi go home - where satya is freaking out because the hearing is tomorrow. Constable comes and serves a subpoena for vidhi saying she has to appear as a witness. Vidhi and dev are overjoyed and vidhi starts making tall promises 🤦🏻‍♀️ abhi will be eating dinner with us tomorrow. Priya is also melting 🤷🏻‍♀️

Satya is like I have full faith in you and know you’ll do the right thing.

Satya and priya are trying to cajole Simmi to eat. Vidhi taiji comes and gets simmi to talk a little and agree to eat pasta if priya makes it. Both satya and priya are relieved. This scene was sweet - but I absolutely hate how vidhi is being portrayed as mother India here.

vidhi is in front of the mirror practicing her testimony - she wants to be as confident as dev was.
dev listens and is like you were brilliant - you just have to be this confident tomorrow and testify.

Vidhi is like I will - it’s the truth. But don’t you think there is something fishy going on here - abhi and Rakesh at Simmi’s school. Dev is like yes there is - but we have to focus on getting abhi out.

Mujhse aur dekha nahi jayega. I don’t understand if it is intentional or not - but please didi ko confident dikhane ka matlab ye nahi ki sabko bebas bana do.

I hate this sort of storytelling. It is like for someone to gain something, the other has to pay a price. Why? Why can’t she be confident and dev be smart at the same time.

I agree. It's their inability to show two strong protagonists. You rightly said, they have become complacent. How was it managed in first half and now they can't even show the real Dev and Vidhi in one scene?

My thoughts, the episode was pretty reasonable for me

three parts i liked

1. There was remorse on priya’s face for the rakesh blunder. All said and done, her demand to work was always right and I supported her but here she was wrong and i am glad satya called her out because Priya needs to redeem herself to be a more human person

2. I enjoy Simmi Vidhi scenes because ever since Vidhi came in, Simmi has found someone to turn to and this can help Priya and Vidhi mend bridges and move forward

3. One thing i have noticed is Dev is very vulnerable when his family goes in trouble and i like watching some weak moments simply because it gives him a more human angle as a person. Of course the questions they asked in the end need to be answered too

4. The time bomb flashback was a good reminder of how vicious Amba has become

Overall i guess the story will deal with one mess at a time, first raichand business, now abhi and next the mansion. I am a sucker for family unity scenes and drama so i am liking the pace.

There were other people too who witnessed the whole incident, un logon se pta kiye kya hua tha us din. koi cctv footage ka pooch lo, Rakesh ki postmortem report dekh lo actual cause of death kya tha. Kya soch ke script likh rhe, wait, kuch soch hi nhi rhe actually, bs ankhein band karke kuch bhi likh ke de rhe hain. 😕
