I wanted to tag the OP but dont know why she blocked me, but anyways really liked title of this post.

Both Sai and Pakhi are paying for being Virat's wife.

Did you read OG Thu thu thu uncle ka interview. So basically 6-7 months ago, they got a red flag for the relationship show to the point that it was given hints to wrap up. The lead characters were unidimensional.
Then they enlisted the help of a writer who wrote the concept of Abhinav. The show was resurrected and look where it is now.

So moral of the story is basically they “played with the character” or else they would have lost the job/revenue.

Probably channel thought let us emulate the sucess story everywhere. It was actually a good idea for Ghum also but execution mei wapas jhol.

Satya is not the reason for trp drop. It's IPL and Pakhi. There are already too many characters in ghum. I didn't understand why they needed a difficult family for Satya. They could have showed a single mother who raised Satya after she lost her husband. As a mother, she can connect with Sai. More screen time can be given to Sai Satya than adhikari ladies.

Right now the build up to Saiya marriage happening. Sai must be pushed to a certain extent to take such a stupid or bold decision. So max screen time to SaiRat and P is the face of ghum so she had to be there.

Because the new guy and FL actually bonded during a difficult period and over the years. He has a simple character but when FL for now chooses second guy over ML, people connect.

Without Virat being in picture, Sai Satya should connect at an independent level.

I didn't know that. That show was getting stale tbh and they revived it very well. I stopped watching it for a while.

Abhinav is well written character. He is a regular guy next door, good, sensible, caring, easy to relate to and love his character. I thought showing Akshara to actually give a chance to this relationship and try for real was also good. Best bit was her showdown with Abhimanyu in temple. That was absolutely needed coz they didn't understand her pain at all and family just dumped her. They really highlight FL pain nicely.

Ghum is deliberately written to trigger audience, writers are unable to write suitable dialgoues and show relevant flashbacks like other shows. They constantly highlight PL ddp and ignore FL knowing that audience will feel for her this way.

I wonder if that's what they are doing with Maa with 6 uear leap coz it was time to shut shop after maya reveal. I am hating it now except Shah drama is still entertaining with Dimpy snatching DS from anu. Good people like Anuj, samar turned bad and bad people like Pakhi, toshu, vanraj supporting maa.
