He did want to with films like Vikram Vedha but it didn't get its due to say the least, and (not that it matters much lately but) he was massively robbed at award functions as well. It was sad to hear him say that he doesn't feel he "has the right" to do films like that even though he likes that the most, and that he would stick to films like War, Bang Bang, Fighter etc

A Krrish in between would have been better than having War VV Fighter and War 2.

Besides talking about robbed he has plenty of awards to show in his short filmography. Not that you can award everytime someone who deserves.
