What kind of message the show wants to portray one gender ka deal is also paap

For other gender even if they falsely accuse ,taking action against crime done is character assasination and gossip 😞😞😞

Feminist k naam pe dhabba

the message is being mahaan means you lose your marbles. I hate that ITV makes it seem like being kind and forgiving is a sign of idiocy. you can be nice and forgiving but can also be shrewd cookie. being nice doesn't mean you let others use you and stomp all over you. UGH.

The only thing that would make sense is if it's setting the stage for Viaan getting into major trouble because he dropped the case this time, i.e. Shamita and/or Anirudh trap him later. He's going to the other extreme in his current phase but might need something to restore balance and help him find middle ground between going by the book and letting things go.

he had two young adult daughters himself and was so heartbroken by the accusation as well as the intense backlash he faced. he believed that the investigation will not go in his favour and even if it did, he will not get his honour back. he ended his life. the truth was revealed and the student didn't just get fined by the university but faced action from the judiciary as well. she did end up going to prison for her fake report.

people on other platforms who are profusely giving appreciations for this drama don't realize how the makers have bungled up a very serious real life issue and not given it the earnest treatment it deserves.

if you are going to be bringing in real life issues, then it deserves to be sensitively handled, this mess by the makers ticks me off. 🤬

instead the makers went bent on showing how viaan has lost his teeth because he has changed. if this is redemption, then no one will sign up to lose all their marbles 🤢

Thank you for tagging me.

This happens more often than we get to know! That's the infuriating truth. If Earthcon is not going to investigate further, then they are leaving the door wide open for more attacks. Which mean more work, longer hours, more stress. Will they be able to retain their employees?

While we don't particularly want the leads to be perfect, we would really appreciate not changing their personality overnight. And how does one go from being shrewd and experienced to being "nice is all that matters" and l"et's not think too much"? One can be compassionate, kind, and helpful, and still continue to be on top of his work/ business empire.

Hope Shamita joins a different company and moves on with her life. I doubt she will repeat this behavior again, neither the embarrassment nor the shame is worth it, not to mention if there is a next time, she might not be forgiven. This is not a game.

I guess I spoke too soon yesterday💔. Good afternoon girls !!!!

My day to rant away is today😡. People who don't want to corrupt their minds, you have been duly warned😃

The episode started off with Katha showcasing the video. Everyone's reactions to Viaan's poetry made me mighty confused Viaan is the only one who actually knows what prompted him to write that piece. So, him being self conscious, to some extent is understandable. Everybody else toh🤔

Why would Katha assume she had some influence on him writing this poetry piece? Why are Teji and Farah declaring that beta toh gaya, pyar mein paagal and blabbering away. Why can't it be a run of the mill poetry he had written in the spur of the moment? The committee members were clueless, making faces of " what the heck is this and for whom" and talking amongst themselves. Instead of enjoying a poignant piece being recitedEhsaan is making faces to say " woh kaun thi". Am I missing something girls? I am flabbergasted. He never uttered a name or anything that sounds concrete in his poem.

What followed thereafter is absolute bunkum. Firstly, every person in the room took turns sunaoing and public shaming of Shamita. Bhai, you have done a respectable investigation so far, why can't they maintain the same decorum to complete and conclude the evaluation. The whole deed went into the account of Pyramid-Anirudh.

It is to the utter stupidity of Katha and Viaan, that they came up with their own reason why Shamita did such an act. What a horror 😡🤢Why didn't they make any effort to listen to the reason/incentive from her own mouth? Why would they open their big mouths and find excuses for a culprit such as Shamita. One moment, Viaan is turning around and bawling and the other moment, Saint Viaan is advancing towards Shamita to tell her that she is forgiven, with no accountability whatsoever😡. Amidst all of this, Shamita was not even given time, space or a chance to convey a heartfelt apology, nor did she acknowledge any wrongdoing in words. Instead, mahaan or stupid, whichever way we want to look at him, Viaan already forgave and ready to forget too🤬👎🏼🤢

What an insult to the umpteen number of victims on the both sides of the debate- people who have been harassed sexually and those who are harassed with fake charges💔. It is a total disservice to all those victims and the show just made a mockery of these countless people around the world🤢 I was just about feeling happy that they didn't discredit Viaan's pain, hurt and horror of a heinous charge just because he is a male. By having him cry in relief and Katha asking the right question " what about his respect and honor"? Sab mein paani pher diyein by having Viaan taking a stupidly foolish high road for no reason😡🤡. Where are you Mango? Remember we had this debate before " not forgiving and forgetting anything without acknowledgement" ?🤢 He looks like an utter nincompoop, he doesn't know her motives, she didn't offer an apology, yet bhai saab aage hi nikal padeinto a la-la land of forgiveness😡. And what was the stupid question to Teji " do you know how many women's lives are affected"? HUHHHH!!!!😡😵Exactly !do you even know how many lives are affected by fake/real harassment every day?

CEO Ehsaan is the only one who seemed sensible.

Looks like the Garewaal train is moving now to hit Viaan💔 Papa G will come out with his true colors, demands and rules☢️

Fire away girls......... I don't know what to bang my head with.....

.

Couldn't agree more. I don't think I have anything more to add to this either! 😃 It was quite annoying to see the weird reactions to the start of the video being played. The silent letting go of the emotions by Viaan gave a glimpse into what he was hiding so well, but that passed too quickly and he turned into this cool and level-headed guy who only wanted to end it all without wanting to know anything more.

This whole episode could have been handled with so much dignity, including the forgiving part which could have been shown as a separate conversation later. That way, Viaan gets his closure, Shamita is held accountable and all is truly well.

Talk about it, I am privy to a real life incident which played in front of me more than a decade ago while I was in professional school. The subject is a gate-keeper subject. Politicians got involved and made a huge mess, college was closed for months. The damage done for reputation is irreparable. Even when people didn't believe it, and he got rightfully acquitted, " what if I am wrong and the allegation is true " remained with students more importantly the parents and the man got shunned despite being an excellent teacher and mentor for countless students........ It was heartbreaking to say the least💔😭I won't share anymore for privacy reasons, in case I inadvertently give away identifying details😒

I think the word feminism is being skewed to suit whatever😡. Feminism doesn't mean that female gender gets an unfair advantage😡 that we again lose our credibility. If we are doing well, it should be on our own merit, not because people are being lenient, because we are of a particular gender. Yes, we are wired differently, we have certain physiological needs which are different than men, but I do not support in any way, the rules get bent for us. What good is it anyway, if even one person says " Oh yeah! she is where she is because she got priority in a particular category"🤢In my mind, feminism is nothing more than gender equality👍🏼 We can't be asking for no discrimination based on gender and then in the same breath turn around and ask for concessions🤢 This is a live wire topic for me in my institution too. But, oh well...... everybody uses this word loosely to suit their narrative.

Viaan asking people in the office " not to gossip about it and ruin women's lives" is 🤬😡 I am so mad at that statement, like smoke coming out of the ears mad😡☢️

I also want to read what the great Viaan R is going to write in his recommendation letter. What is he going to say- hard working, trustworthy and works with a lot of integrity😡🤬 The writers messed up big time and have dissed the hundreds of thousands of victims of real and fake harassment😡

@Lav, we had this discussion in another forum some years ago, if you remember. Sadly, the narrative continues....🤢

Good to know there is someone else who thinks this way. 🤗 Unfortunately many women don’t agree with this. Less said about some men the better. A casual get-together conversation on this can reveal so much about the confused mindset. It’s delusional.

But, will stop here. Don’t want to spend a Sunday afternoon revisiting some insanely “feminist” conversations I have been part of….

M, I haven't watched the ep yet but I did go through some posts here. I also saw your fav Anirudh. My theory is that the writers opted for this route because there is a whole track planned for your Anirudh. I agree that it's the wrong message to let Shamita go without facing the consequences of her actions. I look at the show through my own lens of experience. I have also made decisions where I listened to my heart instead of my mind. Viaan is at that place where he puts much emphasis on forgiveness, and believes that everyone deserves a second chance. I just know that all of us pay for our actions or receive the rewards accordingly. I always paid the price for listening to my heart where I felt pity for others. Now I do what is right no matter what....but all this comes from experience. I understand everything which you guys write but my problem is that there is an expectation for the leads to do what is right in any circumstance. I don't feel that that is realistic. How can I judge that Shamita will not bear the consequences of her actions based on one ep? Should we not give the writers a chance to show us their story?

M, I only write or share based on what I have experienced in life. All characters have graphs and they are bound to make many mistakes before they get to where they are supposed to....unless the writers' visions are skewed. For now, I am aligned with what they are showing us.

You said the exact point. Viaan is now in the forgiving mood. When he has done such a horrendous thing with Katha and she still stands before him and talks, and has kind of forgiven him. He feels the same towards Shamita too.
secondly if Shamita turns good, Vihan’s purpose to forgive Shamita makes a strong impression.
Had he not forgiven her, her life and career would have jeopardized.. her heart filled with more revenge, anguish … instead this path of forgiveness which might melt a person like Shamita.

After all it’s a serial.. we have to see will she help Viaan expose the Pyramids.

Viaan has become the abla naari of indian television... Everyone is out to get him yet he forgives everything because koi insaan burra nahin hota

..... They have made viaan character-less.. In the sense they have removed all his attributes and just reduced him to a mary sue who is just there to run around katha... He has no negative traits, no greys, no identity, no layers, no subtlety...

This was such a good opportunity to have viaan question his recent pro-women turn and fighting to not get back to his default state... They could have shown him and katha arguing about genuine vs false cases and who to believe.... Instead he was just zen like through the whole thing ki jo hoga achcha hoga.... And uske baad bhi babaji forgave the girl without her even giving an apology

Thanks Mili for the tag. I knew you will be boiling after the last episode🤣🤣

The whole Shamita track I was enjoying like a four course meal, with Katha leading the investigation (I felt Katha was being a bit harsh to Viaan during investigation), she getting confused, frustrated and asking him unknowingly the uncomfortable question of "Are you sure you never gave such an offer before" and an honest Viaan saying "Yes Ma'am" and the "Sorry Sir" by Katha and "Why are you sorry Ma'am, I am Sorry" by Viaan... Teji-Ehsan-Dodo getting tense and panic, a strategising Farah, a confident Batman passing on his confidence to his Robin, a cool and composed Viaan ready to face the music.... everything was perfect, even I enjoyed fully the poem playing out in front of committee, an embarrassed Viaan behaving as a naughty kid caught by his mom for his stealing of chocolates🤣🤣🤣

The last part of investigation left a sour taste after the five course meal. There are four things that makers have disappointed me at the end.

1. Katha asking Shamita, why did you do this????👎🏼👎🏼That why was not in the purview of this committee. The committee was meant to find out if allegation is right or wrong, which they did and the matter ended. WHY was an added accessory.

2. Katha and everyone else in the room, except Viaan guilt tripping Shamita. They were bot supposed to talk that way with her. If any one has an issue, file another complaint and chargesheet her, interrogate officially

3. Shamita's FB about Anirudh was it necessary? Anyway, Shamita decided to be loyal to Anirudh. Only viewers got to know about Anirudh, Viaan and Co thinks she took revenge. And why Shamita should just listen to Katha and Co's preachings and keep quiet, why she did not take Anirudh's name?

4. Saint Viaan forgiving Shamita🤣🤣🤣 After ONS proposal, this is first time, he disappointed me. I don't think Shamita is deeply influenced by his forgiveness (See, Katha forgave him after he pursued her like anything, and that forgiveness left a deep impression on him like he directly fell in love with Katha and started writing poems and composing it to propose her). Katha took her own time to forgive him, rather Viaan earned that forgiveness. Here, Viaan was too fast to forgive that Shamita will forget it and be back on track very soon.

Anyways, we are back to reality of ITV stories. PapaG may get back to hard nut form, and a love stuck Viaan searching, how to be a father....🤣🤣

I laughed out so loud like, he had an ONS and now searching how to be a father... really 😉😉
