I think this is wrong thinking I would not wish that on no one. I might not want others to smash records but I would not wish the film not todo well. Plus there is karma too. I don’t get what some would have that thinking on purpose. U don’t like something simply don’t watch it. Just like u don’t like some product don’t buy it.

On topic I won’t predict but wait and see the result. It’s tough to predict what audiences enjoy these days. Though I do know they like larger then life movies. Spyverse movies with High octane sequences, vfx, and top billed actors do well.

It may cater to you and plenty of others but the comparison is mostly a disadvantage.

When Salman Khan released a string of remakes between 2010 to 2016 not many of those movies were up on OTT/YT. But since then South remakes have lost a lot of audience. Akshay Kumar is another bright example of same failure pattern.
