Beautifully written and thank you for writing this :)
My 2 cents- strictly my POV!
Meerab is the most misunderstood character of this drama. She is as real as it can get which is a rarity in the TV world, hence the annoyance and confusion from the masses I guess. It's unfair to keep comparing the Meerab we r seeing now to the fierce one that we witnessed in the initial episodes.C'mon a life altering event hit her in episode 4 and she has been trying real hard to stay afloat since then. She was hurt irrevocably when her foster parents didnt let her into the house that day and that abandonment has scarred her for life! Grief is neither neat nor linear and it doesnt follow any timelines either. She as earned the right to be irrational, to rebel, to become withdrawn, to feel empty no matter how wonderful Murtasim is.He has understood this and is being patient. His indifference towards her in the coming episodes will evoke a lot of emotions from her and her journey towards acceptance will begin. "He fell first but she falls harder"-- I guess this is what is in store for us! I love both these characters(maybe Meerab a tad more :)) and their journey. I am too invested in this journey(I repeat...JUST their jouney) of theirs as W and Y are so convincing in the roles of Mu and Me.
I wish they had roped in good side actors to make this a more complelling and a wholesome watch! I totally lost it with Haya in episode 3 and I've blurred her out since then for my own sanity :).I think its more to do with Sabeena's acting, just not able to tolerate her histrionics!
So here’s to Me and Mu , the characters we love/hate/need/know ! Sometimes they get on your nerves, but Terebin would be nothing without them!
**My biggest gripe is the screen time of the leads, both Wahaj and Yumna have been a golden goose for them and I wonder why they are not milking it!

On the same page as you!
@bold, is what I am trying to imply. She has her own journey and until the show concludes, we should just be patient before labelling it as weak and pathetic.
Pointed that n number of times, this is two tropes turned one,
He fell first, she will fall harder,
He fell too early, she fell too late
What era is this show set in?
Or even precisely, what era is the writer born in?
Because when Meerab found Haya in a compromising situation with Murtasim, she didn't accuse him of having no character, she questioned his love, that he claims to have for her.
When Murtasim finds Meerab in an exact same situation, he tells her 'pehle kirdaar banao apna', indirectly blaming her of an indecent character
The difference between men and women...
It is mind-boggling how this show is written by a woman and yet the main woman is put on a questionable radar by her. Regressive much.
Straight away putting it out to the audience that the wife has no 'kirdaar' coming from the husband's mouth itself
Never watching a show written by this woman again!

Pls dont get me started...am fuming here! The audacity of him to utter that kirdaar dialogue! wow..just wow! I really want Meerab to leave these hypcrites for good! Isnt it so sad that she is only acceptable to her family when she bows down to their expectations. What's with Mariyam's attitude in that promo? The whole family is stifling and gaslighting her...this is just not good.My heart breaks for this woman!

I have a lot against the writer already but the choice of dialogues today was just pathetic
Being a woman, she could have shown a bit sensibility and sensitivity when handling a plot around obsessive lover for a married woman. The married woman in question is your heroine. Give her some dignity, don't strip her off it.
About Meerab, even though I feel all protective for her, anything I will say to defend her will be perceived as pseudo-feminism. The writer has given a step-motherly treatment to her own heroine.
If not for Yumna and Wahaj's chemistry, this show deserves some slander for the backward misogynistic mindset of the writer. Her dialogue writing skills need some serious filtering.
Again, I have to remind myself that I am taking this show as a regular romance, nothing else.
Today female lead's father mouthed a dialogue kis k sath pakde gaye (for fl). Don't know anyone noticed it or not but it left a bad taste on my mouth.

Giving more thought over why I am still sticking to this show inspite of it selling everything problematic in the name of entertainment, realised it comes from my liking for mindless romance and pairings like this which happen once in a blue moon.
Guilty as charged.
Shallow as well, for liking and watching this show just for the sparks that Wahaj and Yumna create when together.
Surely, it's testing my rationality, my ability to put characters into complete right and wrong, without shedding off my prejudices, but what's still working for me is that Murtasim and Meerab are your Wattpad/Desi Omegaverse fanfiction couple, aggressive, red-flags yet irresistible to each other couple and brought to life in the most grandiose way possible 🤪
While people rightfully have issues with such romance, it sells. Aggression sells. Passion sells.
If I start putting my coherent thoughts over how problematic they are to each other, one is possessive, dominant, raging while the other one is currently in the most confused, static phase while still managing to keep that edge going in front of him, I would discard them from point zero.
But here I am, still rooting for the two of them, because they deserve no one, except each other. Their energies match, their flaws balance each other and the physicality, well they play it off each other in the best way possible.
To take this show, you have to shut that part of the brain which entails you furious at the happenings, and give up on the moralistic super-ego. Just put your limbic system at work, and your hearing and seeing senses, because these two are hot as hell together, nothing more is offered and accepted.
P.S. the writer needs some major writing courses or better, a dialogue writing course. What in the regressive, pathetic lines has she penned down? Proof-reading hi kar leti ek baar. Mindset toh vaise bhi change nahi hona!
P.P.S. posting this gif over what a tough task it is when you don't know whether to continue or give up on a show 😆

The dialogues left me banging my head against the wall. What they made Rohail say was enough bullshit that they made Waqas utter more regressive crap!
Surely a test of patience at times...
Saad to Maheer
"MAIN HOON TUMHARA KIRDAAR
MUJH MEIN DEKHO KHUD KO"
Murtasim to Meerub
"PEHLE APNA KIRDAAR BANAO"
two very different dialogues in 2 different context with 2 different female leads but WAHAJ JUST NAILED IT .......thank god it's hania and yumna with him in these 2 dramas
