I agree on that if that is taken flaw .. but to win her why can’t he help her complete studies .. till then she being mad at ppl for destroying her dream n snatching her independence is completely logical for me …. I really hope plot will address this further studies thing
Further studies is a writer flaw... meerab hasn’t mentioned it even once yet.... also someone said meerab only wanted to become lawyer because her father was one.. the moment she lost respect for her father she ditched the lawyer dream
B- they won't. Creative team didn't have sensibility to even show a decent conversation between leads. Toh yeh toh bohot dur ki hi baat hai. Last mein we'll get to see love winning over everything with the fl moving on with ghar grihasti Or may be some character (may be ml as he is creative's fab) giving two minutes bhashan on empowerment & all then show ka tata bye bye.Originally posted by: TVaddict_2022

Waise why r we hell bent on making meerub's character white? Why there should be reason behind every action? Meerub's character is grey. She has good traits like helping others and feeling for poor. But at the same time, she has ego and its hard for her to change perspective abt others.
Murtasim is not a grey character like her.He as a human definitely has flaws.Usually in pak dramas, fl roles r white or black and men r jerks. But still people r ok with it and after doing cheating they r accepted by fl in the end.In this drama if they r showing almost perfect ml and fl with flaws like attitude issue (unlike other shows where roles r reversed) so why is it so hard to digest? Why we need balance? Why can't fl has upper hand in the relationship?
It is true that people r never happy in any situation.
I mean to say we have almost perfect ml iss se bhi problem hai ka why is he so perfect chalo isse dislike karo.
Fl has flaws tu iss se bhi problem hai ka iss mein flaws kyu hain?
Matlab khush bhi hote hain log yahan kisse baat se😆 Writer ne khud bola show is for masala entertainment phir bhi trying to find logic in it.
Meerub ko monologue kyu nahi mil rahe iss se problem hai.Writer ne mystery factor ka liye nahi diye warna pata chal jata agay kya hoga agar ye abhi ye soch rahe hai.
Meerab's unpredictability and lack of monologues is the one thing that keeps us guessing what will happen next
When they start showing what she's feeling, the events in the drama will become somewhat predictable 😆
Some threads back I said I wish it was some other girl instead of sabeena
And then people started comparing her with Kiran Huq of fitoor and said if I preferred a hotter psycho
I cudnt get the time to answer there
But what I meant was I wanted a prettier girl WHO CAN ACT and would look good with wahaj
Only then she would indeed be a strong competition for meerub
In fitoor I agree Kiran Huq looked amazing and her acting is better than sabeena but she had zero chemistry with FQ
I didn't like his chemistry with Hiba much either
Only wahaj Hiba looked good in fitoor
But now it seems he looks better with hania and yumna
So again it not about being hotter or prettier
The 2nd lead girl should know how to act
And sabeena is a very very average actress
I have seen amateur girls getting better with every show but sabeena is just so mediocre in every show she does
She is just lucky to end up in all hot projects
She was in mohlat too where she payed the most sensible middle sister and paired with Usama ....it was a superhit drama
And now in TB out of the zillion upcoming actresses she ended up as haaya
Wow
And now we have to watch her in more shows as TB is a big break for her
I m happy for Bushra Ansari
7th sky is giving her quality content
I loved her an as independent mother in mohlat and here also she is tremendous as Ma begum
And I m thankful to the writer for keeping her character grey and semi typical mom in law
Not the gheesi peeti evil mom in law
This is what pisses me off in most shows ... n i can't just droll over chemistry and no one seems to criticize them for this point ..Originally posted by: SexyPotato

agar Law ka dekhate hii nahii .. then it was ok, but that was base for the hole things why MB wanted to get the adoption reveled n get her married in first place.
Whole law thing was just used to get them married. Nehi toh writer doesn't care much about fl's career & all. Did you watch writer's interview. This bandi is from baba adam k jamana who believes in nikkah ki takat & all. So it's better not to expect anything from this dumb head.Originally posted by: TVaddict_2022

B- this drama is written for that section only who will droll over chemistry. Creative herself acts like teenage horny fangirl. She didn't have that much capability to write two decent individual whom people can ship. She thinks idhar udhar kuch lollipop phenko in the form of hawwt scene then boom chemistry ban gaya.
I honestly thought I would give my view on the episode a pass but the reactions here coerced me to put my thoughts into words. I don't want to choke up on them.
Inspite of all the sighs and bashing that Meerab receives as a character, I still find her journey the most humane and organic, albeit only painfully slow
Murtasim now is to be perceived as something he isn't, as a God of a husband or a human, let's say, but even his shortcomings are clear, if not as loud as Meerab's. (Glad for that)
His suffering lies in his acknowledgement of a marriage that comes with terms and conditions and his hopes of equal reciprocation
His downturn lies in his inability to strictly discourage Haya to the point that she stops HOPING of getting him ever and stop harming his wife in the process
His defeat lies in that one slap, where his wife felt the need to protect herself of his rage which she knew she would be a frequent encounter to.
The dialogue in the teaser 'shaadi se pehle nahi pata tha' holds significance that this man has to be feared when he's at his worst
Coming to Meerab, saying she's made no progress is viewing her through a lens that makes her woeful to not accept her marriage. Which is so untrue.
This marriage has flipped Meerab's life more than Murtasim's.
An abandoned girl, with her wounds fresh, with no closure from her foster parents, a dad who's imposing his decisions and expectations on her in the name of her 'bhalaai', while she is only taking baby steps to open her heart to someone who claims to love her.
For the sake of this marriage, she has also given her share of contribution like any woman does, she lives with him, tries to engage herself towards his approaches, but with no freedom left, no dreams fulfilled, and some close encounters with trauma.
Amidst all this, came the pregnancy drama! For all its logic, it's only purpose was to bring out their contract marriage in the open. But what is also put across is that she didn't clarify herself to save her face. She dreaded the reactions and she got the same. Her elders were hypocritically 'disappointed' in her once again.
Her mistake put Murtasim in the line of fire as well and when she couldn't take his silence, she confesses that she's guilty, and that she should apologise. She is not the cold-blooded vamp that she's made to be
Her decision to go to Karachi could be because of anything but meeting Rohail. She can very well be seeking some respite.
She willingly decided and almost ordered her husband to take her to Karachi, in their own teasing language.
She first took him aback with her 'Haa, ghar ke chodke jaa rahi hoon' and then slyly dropped the 'tumhaare saath'
Her conversation with Anwer wasn't just random, she is on the same page regarding her parentage truth there, no closure yet. And I don't see it happening soon. They have messed her up terribly.
Her stance on Rohail is kept very absurd and that is a huge flaw in writing, but again, no comments until this track serves it's purpose.
This is fiction and I ain't becoming a moral police for a drama like this. Characters are open to interpretation but I do not expect them to hold my moral ground for themselves. I will take characters as they come and wait for a satisfactory conclusion instead.
This show is not some guidebook to a healthy marriage, nor is it a battle to fight as a feminist (which I would do without hesitation), it's a tumultuous journey of two people falling together, apart, and together again.
For whatever tragedy that is happening between M&M, Murtasim is your collateral damage. And in a lovestory running high on passion, nearing the extent of devotion, it's inevitable.
Summing these two up for the hopeless romantic in me, (picked up a quote from my bookmarks)
"My love for you knows no bounds. I will never let you go. We belong together. I intend to make you face the truth and punish you soundly for your transgressions"
If you disagree, respectfully, do not entertain this post.
That 'shaadi se pehle nahi pata tha' in response to her 'tum kisi ki bhi jaan le sakte ho' was some real glimpse of the alpha Murtasim the show promised in the beginning
