Hi.
First, thank you all so much for tagging me and sorry for not being able to respond individually. Will try to share my thoughts here on the topics you all have tagged me in.
Deepthi - thank you for the episode updates. You are an angel!! 🤗
Sej… I am SOOOO NOT going to write SS / OS on Akshu singing outside the OT / ICU. I’ll leave that to the very creative creative team of YRKKH. But I have a question - do they remember / know that Akshara sang at one point?? The CV team has a lot of Ghajini moments when they write the episodes and tracks hence the doubt
Akshu’s next profession - I vote for taxi driver. If I’m not wrong, she’d been the one who drove while Sharma ji sat in the back holding his son. Which means she would be a stable, steady driver under trying circumstances. (Yes, I’m taking a dig at makers and their stupidity which seems to reach new heights with every passing episode)
Now for the more serious topics:
Disclaimer: No offense to Abhira fans or legacy fans. Apologies in advance if my comments hurt anyone.
It’s not just the mothers and the love of a mother that the makers are making a mockery of. They are showing the women as a whole in an extremely bad light (not new to ITV but gen 3 guys are scaling new heights / lows - depending on one’s POV)
Manjari, Swarna, Mahima, Anisha, Shefali, Arohi - who among them has been shown to be a good mother in the above list? None. So why do you think Akshara would be exempted from the list? They are shown to be either selfish, weak, insecure or downright malicious and wicked. Or a combination of all of the above. Oh, or two-faced like Swarna.
And the men are either spineless (Goenkas) or abusers (like Birlas).
So Abhinav going overboard at this juncture is not surprising. But I genuinely do wish they don’t turn him negative. Itna toxicity… I mean when was the last happy episode we saw? I don’t even remember. And that’s the main reason I have stepped back from this show. Drama is OK. 24*7 toxicity - not worth my time.
Makers don’t have guts. That’s the bottomline of it all. They are COWARDS. Because if they did have guts, after the white day, they should have shown:
Akshara focusing on her career in vengeance while taking care of Abhir, cold and all shut down on the inside where nothing reaches her except her son.
Abhimanyu, realizing what he’d unleashed in his pain and temper, swinging to the other end, locking away his emotions in his own way, focusing only on his profession and bringing up Roohi, distancing himself from everyone.
Akshara meeting Abhinav professionally (maybe he is another lawyer) and Abhinav respecting her for being the way she is, single mom juggling both career and kid, befriending her.
Abhimanyu meeting a female colleague / old college friend (Let’s name her Chitra) during one of the conferences and they resume their friendship.
Abhinav having a genuinely nice family who want to get to know Akshara and Abhir, meet her, tease him about her… Akshara slowly responding to their acceptance and affection. Throw in an anti-thesis of Manjari as Abhinav's mom.
Abhimanyu and his colleague - him seeing how comfortable Roohi is with Chitra, slowly coming back into his own family fold because of the interactions. (In parallel, him encouraging Arohi to move on)
At a point when both start considering life with other people, life brings them face to face once again.
They could have made us root for the new pairing. Made us think that maybe this is better than that. Then bring Abhira face to face, restart their love and then bring in the parentage. But no, they don’t have the courage to take this route. Instead they make
Akshara helpless, stupid and dependent on a man
Abhimanyu all set to marry his ex’s sister with dead brain cells which can’t even do the basic math regarding Abhir’s age
Viewers question the very character of the leads.
Where if a stranger gets wind of the story summary, he / she would say - these two are leads? And you are rooting for them? Seriously?
So it’s not the question of WHEN the destruction of Abhira began, Ash. Their relationship, post marriage, has never been given a fair chance by the makers.
Apologies if my post has come across as negative and anti-Abhira. Trust me, I am neither. I even have proof of my SS to show my love for the pair 😆
