Guys I finally I figure it out why Meerab is lying about the pregnancy. REVENGE.

She cannot lie because she is scared of the truth or she is a coward. But she is capable of lying to extract justice that is owed to her. How immeasurable is the damage they did to her that she has compromised on her principles to get her pound of flesh. This is also a reflection of how deep rooted her fury and her pain is and what little love she has left for this deceitful family.

If you have any respect or concern for your elders/parents would you do this to them, watch them build dreams and plans in air over a fake baby. She doesn't give 2 shits they will get hurt, she wants to wound them. 'Ab mei sab ko ruloungi' was never about hurting Murtasim it was always about the real backstabbers. This fake pregnancy gave her the perfect opportunity to make good deal on that promise.

Murtasim loves his mother and family how can he lie and hurt them. He wanted to tell the truth, but Meerab stopped him. But ultimately for him no one is more important than his beloved, not his mother not the world no one, what Meerab wants Meerab gets. And for her sake he too compromised himself. When you want revenge you must dig two graves, Meerab knows this and she is willing to bury herself to get justice. Murtasim has dug a third grave for himself, even in deceit he will not abandon her. He will not let her fall on that sword alone they will fall together. You jump I jump Jack.

Even Meerab herself can't get in the way of Murtasim protecting her, so why is he letting her do this. This is the first time he has stepped aside knowing she is going to get hurt. The insults she might face consequence of this lie is not more important than the betrayal she faced. When she dumped water on his lap to stop him he realized how far she was willing to go, and there was no use stopping her. Murtasim knows that her inability to move forward in this marriage is tied to her wrath against the family, he has to let her punch herself out, otherwise she will never move on. He will never let her do this to herself if he didn't genuinely believe that this is ultimately for her own good.

It is finally not me against them, it is us against them. In a strange way it is comforting for Murtasim to know that they are finally a team, even if it is over a lie what matters is it is the two of them against the world. He is the muscle to her activism, the punisher to her justice, the sword behind her words.

She wants to show her traitorous family the mirror what does it feel like to be lied to, have your faith destroyed, to be deceived by the one you trust, and your dreams crushed cruelly. What she did to them is not even 10% of the torment they inflicted on her, but something is better than nothing. I hope she throws it back in their faces, they have no right to accuse her of anything. You gooooooooooo girl stick it to them. Murtasim proud of her, even when she is in the wrong she is right. Meerab has fallen off no pedestal she will always be his queen who is brave, fierce, stands for the truth against all odds. The biggest truth is she owes her scum bag family nothing, least of all her honesty when they didn't believe she deserved the same right.

Fake pregnancy is common in shows.

What I saw different here is how meerab reacted.

Usually female leads talk about how can I break my family member heart, how they will feel hurt.

But meerab thought about herself, her image.

That itself shows how indifferent she is to this family. She was almost unapologitic.

She is immune to their feelings as she should after what they did to her.

I mentioned how I feel no sympathy for maa begum having hopes for her pota.

I got sadistic pleasure by seeing her disappointed face in promo.

Because u can't destroy a girl life for ur fantasies and expect her to act as per ur whims.

I don't know whether she enjoyed watching that trio having false hope but she is definitely indifferent to their drama.

Murtu knows what she is doing. How he immediately told her do u want me to show them contract papers and how she got defensive for it. He knew how to get desired reaction from her.

this just gave a whole new meaning to 'them' in the last two episodes.

just why Meerab is still the same Meerab, because Murtasim has taken her as it is. He chose to let her carry on with her shenanigans, because once she says it's about her 'izzat', it automatically became his to protect. She is his to cherish, spoil, protect (even when it's from own self-destructive ways), to fight the world for her (even if that includes his own kin), these two are going to be THAT lovers.

When she dumped water on his lap to stop him he realized how far she was willing to go, and there was no use stopping her. You caught on some really good point. This is where he knew she ain't letting it go easy. She is going to strech the band, until it spirals back and hurts her and him too, indirectly. Why does he allow, because it CAN give her some respite from her baggage she's carrying. That's the way he has grown to love her.

This is also a reflection of how deep rooted her fury and her pain is and what little love she has left for this deceitful family. She has little to no love left inside her to give back, she has closed off her emotions and packed them to the sea, the day they shut the door on her, forcing her to chose that life she didn't want to live, with a man, she never thought she'd.

The biggest truth is she owes her scum bag family nothing, least of all her honesty when they didn't believe she deserved the same right. Nothing more true. Her 'three' parents haven't learnt yet. Her detached behaviour, rebellion, and apathy is what they deserve.

EK always hits bulls eye so little more effort we can hit jackpot with couple! I am okay if I don’t get Yumhaj Chemistry but i want someone to explore this story more in depth but limited to 100 episodes !

I second it! EK brings out the best in the first few episodes of her shows n then it goes into gutter. But a limited story she can create magic if the story is gripping and she gets a couple with chemistry

My only problem why do we have to dig deep and figure out these things ourselves? Will it kill the makers to give a monologue to Meerab? To tell the viewers loud and clear what the character is thinking. Because frankly, aapki theory achhi hai. Lekin phir bhi far-fetched hai.

Above all, Meerab has been shown to be a practical and headstrong girl. Her choosing to lie and deceit to get her revenge seems to be out of character. She has till now not been swayed by her emotions in regard to accepting Murtasim. So, her choosing to continue this lie by falling prey to her negative emotions doesn't entirely fit what we know of her.

Anyways, but I like the way you have explained all of it. And shall choose to believe it. Something is better than nothing in this case. Your theory is better than her "meri kya izzat rahegi" reasoning.

Love stories by EK for the first 5-6 months are pure gold standards!! No one does it better than her. From the characters to the styling to the background music, everything is perfect.

Would love to see something like TB made by her. The amount of eye-locks and fall and catch, dori scenes, morning wake up in the same bed scenes, acting to be lovey-dovey in front of family -- the opportunities to show chemistry would be endless ❤️❤️

YumHaj is perfection. But I trust Ekta. She knows how to choose co-actors who can make a sizzling couple.

My ramblings are going to be all over the place today--so apologies in advance!

Hassan in today's SH review was harping on about Meerab's ghairat!! But why? So is her reputation now at stake just because she answered Rohail's calls? Help me understand. We viewers know that Rohail is a walking red flag but Meerab is still oblivious to his psychotic intentions. For her, he's is that one guy who has been nothing but empathetic! She considers him as someone who can understand her pain. So what if a close friend for whom you dont have any romantic feelings proposes? Why would there be any 'ick' factor? Yes, u'd be taken aback initially , maybe even feel a bit awkward and embarassed and sometimes even question urself or ponder over how it lead to this but u would definitely not feel disgusted (ateast not imo). She has already explained it to him and is trying to be patient with him inspite of his incessant attempts because maybe she doesnt want their friendship to be sacrificed with all this. When the parentage revelation happened, she even contemplated on whether to call him or not to share this news. Like it or not, he is one of her dear friends.Its so sad but the truth is that she is only acceptable to her family when she bows down to their expectations. But "Rohail" for her is someone who understands her,accepts her for what she is--not anyone's wife /khandan ki izzat and who is absolutely non-judgemental about her parentage. So what's the harm in holding onto him !

Are we on our best behaviour all the time ? I saw some posts about how Meerab was so out of character when she chided her house help for not listening to her. Was she even in her senses at the point in time? she was losing her marbles when she heard that Haya is with Mu.So how exactly is she supposed to react?

By placing our female protagonists on a pedestal and putting them on a position of moral and ethical superiority, we often tend to ignore the fact that they are very much human and are capable of making mistakes just like us. And if they slip up, we conveniently say that they dont make any sense any more and we are quick to express our rage and disappointment.

Yes, I do understand Noor,the writer has been biased towards her male protagonist but I am glad that she created Meerab with not a lot of typical heroine-like qualities.These typical qualities shouldn’t be the only defining characteristics! As human beings, we are always more than one thing. It is our complexities that make us interesting, and complexities will make these characters feel more real.

Yumna is the clear winner here despite the script not doing justice to Meerab at times.She has inhabited Meerab thoroughly and has risen above the script by adding more dimensions to her character just through her wonderful acting.

I personally dont like perfect dramas,I'd rather see an imperfect drama with all these flawed characters than the ones that are too in ur face , preachy and perfect! Murtasim and Meerab are giving me so much to chew on. I am team MM anyday!

Isnt it fun to have unknowns and some mystery elements to these characters. What's the fun if the writer plays all the cards at once, she has already done that with Mu so let Meerab be that intrigue factor. Let us be surprised by her quirks!

Why does she need to tell us anything when TBA is working overtime for her sake. Society is already punishing her for crimes she did not commit, passing judgements on her for things if a man did no one would dare question, no one understands her except Murtasim and he is not telling us either, fine keep your secrets. She is tired, she has so many battles to fight, let her rest we can do all the explaining on her behalf.
