Actually I have seen cases where parents kept all money woes away from kids and fulfilled wishes even when it was difficult or ideally not possible and kids growing up not realising the problems and value of money .. I never felt like Abhir is so burdened by the fact of not having money .. people living on a budget will have to make the child understand and I felt she tries to make him
Understand the issues and I never felt like he is an unbalanced or traumatised child .. the sudden call to do man about hiding his illness is actually very out of character abd I felt one of the ploys used to kind of show the connect with Abhimanyu .. I don’t think he has been brought up such that he has had to hide his feelings from his parents.. this was just to introduce some aww moments for Abhi and Abhir is what I felt .. at least based on initial Abhir episodes including fancy dress or project etc I never felt he is a child forced to suppress his emotions .. just my view..
Never thought I would say this because I don’t think makers put enough thought in the show.
But this has been the character trait of Abhir. He is not unbalanced or traumatised, but certainly mature and acts beyond his age.
He went to fight with “dilwale sir ji” for his parents, missed training and went to his hotel room without telling his parents, told his mom that he won’t go to class trip because he know they can’t afford it.
We were middle class family on budget growing up and me and my sister were aware of that, but my granny (she managed finances) always said it was their job to worry about money. We, kids should know values of things but not worry about the money. My child is growing up in much more affluent environment and we still teach him that - values of things - which is a life skill.
But Abhir wants to protect his parents and take responsibility in a way he thinks he can, which is a big thing for a child. And personally I don’t think a child should be burdened by this sense of responsibility, it is parents job.
May be all for plot convenience but the child comes across as too mature for his age.
