It was a lovely moment for India!

But one thing that bothers me is that the performance of Naatu Naatu was white washed on stage. I understand that Jr. NTR was facing a sad time so the 2 of them didn't dance, but the Oscars could at least have had Indian dancers or even a dance troupe from India do the performance!

One doubt, Naatu Naatu was famous because of dance steps right ? Did the choreographer also honoured ???

As far as I know, the category which got the Oscar, is a musical one...a song out of a movie (composer, lyricist, the singer), not the picturisation of the song (the dance, the movie images, the costumes).

If anyone else should have got an additional oscar that would have been the playback singers, I suppose.

so figured out why Vanity fair was on such a promotional spree for Naatu Naatu, RRR is a good movie, the song is great, but Vanity Fair head is a Radhika Jones who is part Indian , makes sense she may have a leaning towards Indian content

Oh yes ... "leanings" are very important (not only in the award-giving fields) 😉
