Ghum is different because it is circular 😆 The only reason they were able to survive with such a good TRP is because they have literally no competition. Put this same show at 9/9.30 to compete with the Bhagyas, the story would have been different 😆 Noone except Kaku is a good actor. AS has her moments, but she acts childishly sometimes; Letter ke expressions ko koi read nahi kar paaya hai; NB had a scene during the Shruti track where he falls ill - it still burns my eyes - he doesn't know how to act with Letter didi anymore than the makers do; Ashwini had a similar story in Jasuben Jayantilal Joshi ki Joint Family (one of my favorite family shows) and I cannot believe she's still the same actor 😆
Character arc - Sai is a brash go-getter with a heart of gold, Letter is ghum in Virat's pyaar and demented, Enormous is an enormous pendulum which swings from pyaar to farz every day. They have had no progression in terms of character arcs - same deal waali marriages, same vaadas, same Letter vs Sai. Virat has not had a SINGLE introspection so far on where he went wrong. In Relationship, the ML has done just ONE mistake, he is guilt-ridden and trying to right everything, apologising to everyone. Virat has made 100s of mistakes and still just considers himself a peedit manush. Being a SaiRat shipper once (I remember so many threads where we would discuss scenes we wanted to see, the whole significance behind every action of the leads etc.), and now not even wanting them to share screen space anymore has been my own Ghum journey 🤣🤣
Even if Fragrance is alive, there has to be a point behind introducing 4 new characters within 3-4 days. Sai-Satya will have to have some sort of arc for that. If it's just friendship, why bring in a seasoned actor in the first place and cast his entire family? For Virat's realisation, even Ajinkya/(Jagtap even🤣) were enough. Sai has to move on(maybe not fall in love but some sort of relationship) and Virat has to have his realisation after that - only then do all these new characters make sense. Maybe it's just my wishful thinking 😆
At this point, I watch the show mainly to know what happens to Sai. I like the kids, but my interest is held only by what Sai actually gets - don't care about Letter or Enormous or Satya for that matter. I'm just bored of the same triangle. Satya brings laughter into the show isliye jhel lete hain 🤣
