Always wanted to ask. I read the story of Saibai, Shivaji Maharaj's wife. Is it common to name girls after her....is Sai named after her?

According to Hindu belief sati devi body parts fell in different places....the places where sati mata body parts are fell down are called as shakti peeths. Kolhapuri Mahalakshmi temple is one in among 18 major shaktipeeths.

I actual thought after hearing the name ambabai that said will be getting help from goddess.

Nope... I know very few Sai.

Sai is not so common but in this case it looks inspired.

Maharashtra has 3.5...

Kolhapur (Ambabai), Tuljapur (Tulja Bhavani), Mahur (Renuka mata) are full shaktipeeth and Saptashrungi (Saptashrungi) which is half.
