I think the reason why he doesn’t understand her core issue is because he’s given up his hopes and dreams himself. He’s already done it and accepted this life so maybe he expects the same sacrifice from her. It happens sometimes that we think “I’ve done that too so what’s the big deal? You can do it too”. The difference is that Murtasim made his own sacrifices far before this marriage took place. So although he tried to give Meerab a way out by saying he will talk to his mom and despite of the fact that he was forced into this marriage as much as Meerab was, nothing much changed for him (except Meerab stressing him out every now and then, lol). Meerab’s whole life changed with the announcement of this marriage so she would of course view this as the cause. I imagine Murtasim’s life changed with the passing of his father. This marriage didn’t cause any massive change in his life. I can understand where they’re both coming from. I do think until Meerab feels like she has free choice and part of her identity back, she won’t accept this marriage no matter how much she is falling for Murtasim. I definitely sense that there is some physical attraction and real feelings of care from her side but she’s fighting all her feelings. I wonder if he will discuss any of the sacrifices he made with her, I think they could really understand each other better if they did. Of course communication isn’t their strong suit though.
Yeah. The choice is that of freedom and ambition vs love except Meerab never even had the choice. Murtasim for all his love and romantic gestures doesn’t understand where Meerab’s core issue is- they are taking away the life she loved so she resents everyone. Murtasim loves her courage and her stubborn nature but only on his terms- it’s like loving an exotic bird and then putting it in a cage to domesticate it. Is that really love though? Or just the need to possess ?
My review of Today Episode. CALM BEFORE THE STORM.
Center piece of today episode Meerab and Ma Begum Conversation, valuable lessons and truth bombs dropped.
Meerab doing her Panchayat duties, seems like she is settled into her new role and is no longer making funny faces.
Haya as usual lurking around being jealous and slides in like a snake to get into the car. The honk by Murtasim yeah let's go ladies lolzzzz. I doubt he would honk if Meerab kept him waiting. Car conversation had some minor revelations. Murtasim hung out with the girls and took them out late, wowwwwwwwww really I guess Haya isn't all that delusional about Murtasim spending time with her. Maryam and her are you kidding me faces was the highlight of this scene. Murtasim praise for his wife when he declares she is always in his thoughts and his fierce glare when Haya says does your wife think of you. I like to think his glare is for 2 reasons one don't you dare interfere in my marriage, and don't you dare disrespect my wife.
Malik Jr. is back outside Maryam college. Fasten your seat belts guys we are in for a horrible ride. The woman issue is highlighted plot is being set up, Maryam might as well have been wearing a bulls eye on her back because she is screwed poor Maryam. Murtasim and Malik Jr. not much to say stay tuned for the battle of izzats. Special mention to Murtasim in the aviators, oooooohhhhhh he looked spicy. Murtasim buying the gajras with full on attitude obviously he is thinking about his wife and is in smiles. Haya no words.
Meerab and Murtasim have settled in married life it is their habit to have lunch together so she is looking for him awwwwww, and Meerab addressing him as Murtasim Saab respect meter going up nice touch. Haya has taken off with her husband, Meerab fury meter going up as well Ma Begam has noticed and offers to eat with her. Ma Begum best scene of the series of far, now this is a lady who is the mother of Khan Murtasim Khan, and we can see why he is well raised. ALRIGHT
- Meerab is straightforward Haya is after my husband, MIL do something about her. This is why we love our girl straight to the point fire.
- Ma Begum promises I am always on your side, won't let anyone come in between your marriage with my son.
- My favorite dialogue of this scene "Ma Begum saying I will love you because you are my son's love".
- Ma Begum finally answered the big question Haya is not good enough for her son. Yesssssssssss she always wanted Meerab as DIL which went beyond any promises to dead husband Yessssssssssss mom knows best.
- The biggest takeaway of this scene Ma Begum drops the big advice Meerab if you love my son he will do ANYTHING for you. Meerab girl are you understanding you hold the ace in your hands.
I will say this again these two keep their fights in the bedroom. Meerab didn't shoot her mouth off and listened, whether she understood or not that is a different problem. All those who call her badtameez, she is only badtameez to her hubby dearest in the bedroom.
MaBegum following up on her promise to Meerab and smacking down Haya. Thank you MIL you have done what Murtasim couldn't do. MIL 1 Murtasim 0.
Meerab and Murtasim fight in the room. Meerab on target as always and He still doesn't get it sigh. Meerab I am your wife damnit, Muratasim I am your shohar damnit and we all get it damnit. I don't think he restricts her just because she is a woman, large part is safety Malik Jr. lecher is lurking around.
The date scene naturally acted by Yumna, Meerab falling in love. I got nothing here just enjoy these scenes. Why was he rushing to go back, is it to show off the room and make his girl happy. I have to point out the continuity error, what happened to the green bangles. Everything in the room after with the gajra GORGEOUS my hands hands couple.

She admitted it herself that tere bin is a filmy drama, because this is all what she can write. Episodic format is what she may be comfortable in writing. She could have put more efforts in characters other than Murtasim, atleast Meerab's. She was writing the end for tere bin until very last days before the complete script reached the production house. I hope she's managed to write a satisfying end.
If anyone has watched Ushna and Feroze's Habs, her sister wrote that show.

I think that conversation is coming when he will talk about his sacrifices. Hopefully during the Rohail track when Meerab has an identity crisis and wants her old life back, he will remind her that he hasn't had it easy either. She definitely needs to understand him at his core. Right now all she see is the exterior of Murtasim, despite affections for her he still keeps the real him hidden away. He sees more of her than she sees of him. Murtasim has to let his guard down in front of Meerab for her to completely accept him. The attraction of mr.cool will be there, but you can only love and cherish the man if you saw his soul.

Maa Begum owned the episode yesterday. She managed to win my heart when she says mother-in-laws love their bahus if they are their son's love. So many domestic clashes could be avoided if such an approach is used. Love her/accept her because your son does. She is not you typical scheming MIL and that is such a refreshing change. Thank god for that. Small mercies.
Everything is in Meerab's hands now. Her actions will make/break their marriage. Girl better act up wisely before it's too late.
Expected Murtasim to give a sterner response seeing haya stealing away the gajras he brought for his wife. But well, oh well! That last scene made up for it.
Wahaj and Yumna looked beautiful in that gajra scene. They complement each other and how. Her lowered eyes and that smile in the end, his soft caresses over hands and the way he puts her hands near his heart and they stay like that for a while.
I think there is something going on in between Mariyam and Malik jr., Murtasim going to Mariyam’s college was just a coincidence but Malik jr was still there, and his words meri family ki ladki (bhai tu pehle jaake episode dekh) he is going to take his revenge by trapping Mariyam in his false love.
