She gave sarcastic smile when maa begum said murtasim will do anything for u if u accept him because she thinks he won't do what she wants regarding her career. She always has that bitterness for how her life turned to be. Seeing rohail just triggered that feeling.
She would be considered as emotional cheater if she gives hopes to rohail at the same time acts as wife to murtasim not when she contemplates to choose between her past and present.
That one dialogue of Meerab to Maa Begum sums up her current standing accurately.
'Aapki khwahish ne mujhse meri shanakht cheen li'
If this was a better written drama, Meerab's identity crisis could have been explored so well. A very good plot point to take. Identity crisis needs healthy coping and behavioral therapy, in reality, once diagnosed.
