I also don't think she truly hated him, strongly dislike perhaps, but not hate. Hate is really a negative emotion that inspires disgust, she would not marry a man she was disgusted with she would have pushed him off the terrace. Their fights had a comfortable familiarity like seriously dude we just argued this last week, they could have been friends if they actually put their ego aside.

yes, 'Dislike' is the right term. They keep throwing these petulant hissy fits at each other yet they move on pretty quickly. Even in today's episode- right after their tiff, we got to witness the pani puri scene as if nothing happened. Be it the Pani Puri scene or the one near the pool - u get to know a lot more about them through these scenes as it makes them more real!

The more I think of it, Meerab’s life turned out well for her in the grand scheme of things. Yes, unfortunately and sadly she was given away at birth, and she had to go through heartache and soul crushing revelations of parenthood and sudden marriage against her free will. That is horrific. But: the truth of the matter is, she was always going to be at haveli. How she stayed there, in what capacity, is what changed due to her Karachi upbringing.

Had she been raised in the haveli, she wouldn’t have had the choice or expectation to study law. She would have been another Haya or Mariyam. She’d have no compelling future and no admirable childhood either, as a girl in that culture. I’m not sure that Ma Begam would have wanted her to be Murtasim’s wife; she liked Meerab and her education status that she attained living away from the haveli. So who knows what kind of feudal cousin she would have had to marry.

Again, she was always going to end up at the Haveli due to what happened at birth. Either raised there and married off, or coming back there as Murtu’s wife, all due to her parentage and the circumstances that occurred.

So, good for her, unbeknownst to her, she ended up getting a better deal despite the heartbreak. She got to come back as the Haveli Begam and wife of Murtasim, the kindest of husbands. She is not coming back to live as Haya and Mariam and even Murtu has hinted at this. In today’s episode Ma Begam also said this. Accept him and you will be happy. I think Murtasim will let her study law in the future. That option wasn’t in her fate otherwise.

( Waqas was always going to “send her back,” whether we like it or not. Her staying in Karachi and pushing law there was not going to happen realistically. So this turned out better for her in the long run, in a brutal round about way.)

Just another way to look at her life and her future.

Her answer - Then catch the people who kidnapped me, punish them.

She was against murtasim only when he said izzat ke badle izzat and brought a girl home.

Her telling him to forgive is to end the enemity between two groups.

The enemity which caused many people to suffer.

Forgiving is different from accepting.

Her real father abandoned her at her birth.

And he took 20 years to came out of his depression?

Her real father cared more about his izzat than her and forced her to marry murtasim, expected her to forget her dream. She should accept such father who snatched her dreams?

Her adopted parents didn't send her back to her real father. They forced her to live with her real father by mercilessly abandoning her. They didn't got the heart to open the door when she begged them to have last glimpse of them. She should accept such people?

Again forgiving is different from accepting.

We can forgive outsiders not insiders who caused pain to us intentionally.

Well said.

They took some 5-6 episodes to establish Meerab's story but I think it's the most overlooked aspect of this show.

She asked him to punish those people who took her hostage when they were staying at the village. Only after Murtasim gets a woman involved, an innocent woman who did not deserve to be dragged into these matters of honour that she felt that forgiveness would be better.

Anwer, in all honesty, deserves to suffer. Because abandoning your only child at her birth because your wife died while delivering her was wrong, but his grief got the worst of him there. But what made him wait for some 25 years to accept her into his life again? He saw her grow up in front of him, didn't his heart yearn for the last memory of his so 'beloved' wife.

Waqas and Anila deserve some ignorance for leaving her at the mercy of the father who abandoned her while forcing her to get married to the guy she didn't like at all. Shutting doors on her while she kept lamenting outside reflected pretty badly on them as parents too. So they deserve Meerab's apathy for a while.

So why would she consider him now.

If she has even 1% feelings for rohail she wouldn't have smiled in room scene.

Her conflict would be choosing her pre marriage life or present life. Not about rohail.

I think she was just shocked to see him there and before she could react he hid away. She was confused whether she really saw him there. I think seeing Rohail made her realize that the life she had and wanted was gone- her freedom to go anywhere she wants, be what she wants without anyone’s permission was done and dusted. And that shook her- I think it’s important to understand that she doesn’t have freedom in that mansion- she can’t go out alone, she can’t study..

She is loved yes by her husband and in laws. But she is caged. And honestly that would irk anyone. Esp someone like Meerab who wanted so much more than just a husband. In one of the first episodes she says I don’t have time to think of a husband I want yo be a lawyer.

Here she has a husband who loves her, is romantic and understanding. But he is also controlling and restricting her freedom. He enables her within the confines of what he thinks is right. Is having a romantic husband worth sacrificing your dreams and ambitions and freedom? Would love to hear your opinion

I love the entire sequence when they came around to say yes for their marriage. Very differently done. Not the way usually leads are shown to have forced marriages. It was done with a bit of sensitivity. She explained the reasons for saying yes, but the dialogues, in no way, from both sides, talk about happily ever after, or some promises made about loving each other, or trying to make this marriage work. No false hopes given whatsoever.

It was a simple, let's see how far we can take this. In their mind, they were both already prepared for the clashes and possible fall-out.

That contract and this marriage might have been the first decision of his life that was directed by someone else's wishes and the list just grows bigger, because he's really starting to prioritise every wish of hers. Not your regular alpha again.

The more he is spending time with her, the more vulnerable and insecure he will become when it comes to her and their marriage because she has not accepted him until now. the way he sees her and what makes him think she's worth all the wait and pain, it has all been put out there.

Only an equal reciprocation from her end will eventually let his vulnerability subside and he will take better charge of his feelings. Until then, anyone can hit on that weak spot, the likes of haya and Rohail, and even Meerab's ignorance.

As far as forced marriage set up goes this has to be one of the best. That is the main reason TB took off in popularity.

She explained her POV, and he explained his POV. Audience understood both their POVs. That conversation in the room before marriage was a show stopper, it had logic and emotion, a very rare sight in drama land.

The whole premise was very smartly setup, the script at the start was very strong with little to no plot holes.

That one point by her, if this was truly my father's house I wouldn't be forced to marry you to stay here. She didn't invalidate she was Anwar's daughter, she just pointed out how useless her father is who can't protect his own daughter or give her the respect she deserves in his own home. That sealed the deal and she was perfectly right.

Murtasim one line do you hate me and tell me the truth by looking into my eyes, going further in setting him apart from other heroes, he is asking the right questions.

Thus what started as a forced marriage by the end of that conversation ended up being an agreement consented by both of them, circumstances have forced us, but we are not slave to circumstances its you and me let's decide.

I agree.

I didn't like when murtasim smilingly said yes when she asked him do I need ur permission for everything.

The fact that had he explained why she shouldn't get down from car, she would have stayed silent.

Instead he was like u need to do what I say.

But whole kidnapping blame was on meerab for getting out of the car. No mistake of murtasim who didn't tell the real reason to her.

Only when murtasim talked about involving girl, killing people, meerab tried to stop him.

She saw a girl being taken forcefully for izzat games, then she got to know the girl gonna get married forcefully.

Had he explained meerab what he gonna do with that girl, meerab wouldn't have reached panchayat.

But it was again projected as meerab fault.

Murtasim ego got hurt so he got angry. Drove car rashly. She was keep on saying drive slowly. But he didn't listen.

Again blame on meerab for accident.

How twisted narrative it is. People behaving as if meerab confessed her love to murtasim and cheating behind him by meeting her ex.

If meerab considered of accepting rohail and still playing wife to murtasim then bash her. But the people who r ok with murtasim free behaviour with haya despite knowing her intentions are calling out meerab.

I am not even fan of meerab. But this over bashing is making me sympathise with her.

But I will surely bash her tomorrow if she does anything wrong.
