some people do it unintentionally too… i too speak a weird American accent on some days
... But no one has yet managed to figure out ki bhai ki accent kis desh ki hai... Jis bhi desh mein jaate hain foreigner hi sound karte hain..
What is a fake accent?
We Indians can't speak like British people unless being raised around them since childhood.

Hahah yes I kinda agree. That’s also a way of looking at it. Tbh I do appreciate how she doesn’t put on an accent while speaking but her overall twang or that very accent is the biggest hurdle while she is delivering dialogues in films.
But you say it like she had a choice. It's funny to me that people give her credit for not doing something she can't even do in the first place. 😆 Like besties, I would bet that if she physically could, she 100% would. The same way Priyanka did. Why? Because DP is ambitious as hell and would want to be more liked by the western audiences.
It would make more sense to me if people were like "I'm glad DP can't do accents to save her life because that means we see her speaking authentically" rather than "I'm glad DP didn't do a fake accent" like she had a choice in the matter... lol see what I mean?
She was perfect. ❤️
