I doubt, even without the contract, they'd have anything going on between them just as quick. He would have made some bolder advances initially but their marriage didn't begin on a solid ground either. So a silence from both ends initially is something that sounds believable.

Obviously, Meerab's contract created quite some stir inside him and now he's pursuing her with a lot more determination than he would have, if there was no contract. It's like having withdrawal symptoms once you're denied of something. She really was foolish there. 😆

The contract backfired on her, I guess she don't get reverse psychology. If anything things are moving faster than she originally intended, if she had just left his alone he would have just minded his own business.

They weren't given time to court after they said yes to the marriage. They said yes and the very next day, it was their Mayoon. From Maa Begum's POV, she'd think of getting done with the wedding as soon as possible because in her words, Meerab's Mijaaz is pal mein tola, pal mein masha. She can't be trusted in this matter. It was a hasty wedding.

Haya's words did push her more though.

The contract seemed to be her last move to get away. She must have thought, if cornered like that, infront of the entire world, her 'NO' would be the last nail. Murtasim would himself deny the wedding. But what she didn't expect was Murtasim's acceptance. He compromised with his ego there and let the super-ego get the best out of him.

As soon as he signs the contract, a tear drops from her face.

After watching so many pak dramas i highly doubt murtu would have been any slower if there was no contract. Meerab didn't know him well to think he wouldnt force her into a physical relationship after marriage. Culturally and religious, he automatically has full right over her after becoming her husband. Her consent is non exisiting in this case.

Also it's pretty obvious he has been more attracted towards her from the start than her to him. If anything he would have been more angry if she said no touch on their first night. It would be like pyaase ko kue ke paas aake pata chala paani hi nahi hai🤣. So she beforehand warned him not to get thirsty🤣
