💯 definitely lucky that they got Yumna and Wahaj for this and the filmy director and grand budget production house. At this rate, I am expecting a rain scene. ( or was that already checked off the list with the wet clothes and pool scene 🤔)

I’m also glad that she’s not bothered. The show is what it is, and it’s a hit for a reason 🤷‍♀️

Haha… I will bring it back to the clothing though 🤦‍♀️ I just saw some trailers for the new geo show with Muneeb and Komal and she has such nice outfits. Since TB is such a fantasy, why not continue it with gorgeous outfits and styling for Yumna? Ooof it irks me so.

I know Yumna isn’t really into styling, but I wish she would have done that for this show, to get into the role. For example, Ma Begum said that she’s the most beautiful girl in the khandan and I was kinda like.. hehhh? She did not look it in the first episodes, by any means. And I know they were trying to create a somewhat stylish impression with the wack ass birthday outfit with the tassles, and 90s earrings, and scalloped top ( have to agree with Aamna from SH on that one.)

seems like a metaphor for the whole show. Even gods don’t want that toxic shit to continue. If only someone would burn down yeh rishta as well.

I have accepted that meerab is just a tom boy character. So just let her be comfy and not to think about the clothes. She is practical and is not a fussy person.

Clothes are more important to murtasim, because a large part of his acting is body language and wardrobe is critical to getting that right. He has to project power and authority.
Meerab character has nothing to do with her wardrobe. Her character is more her core personality.

Writer said something like.."contract me itni problem to aage jo hoga wo kese bardasht krege"

I get the concerns about her wardrobe but then barring a few scenes where her makeup man acted like a complete villain, I found Yumna looking good, atleast cute.

To me, I have accepted her character as someone who does not care about anything, not even her looks, so I have made peace with it.

Also, if you notice, the day after Murtasim gives her the book and tells her how women deck up for their husbands, the very next day, she is sporting the red lips, fish braid with the solid red outfit. I liked the yellow anarkali in the kidnap scenes and the black and maroon suits she wore when she stayed at the village. She cared to dress up for Murtasim during that time, obviously he was frowning all throughout 😆

Same thoughts.

They cannot afford to compromise on the hero's looks in such a show where he is the main factor drawing in the audience, especially female audience.

So Wahaj did well there.

I do not expect Yumna to change in that matter, she hardly cares I think, just like Meerab 😆

Also, I just mentioned in the previous thread, Meerab appears quite a tomboy to me. Right from the beginning of the show. Hence I take her lack of fashion sense as a character trait now. She is your spoilt brat who is also a tomboy, throws tantrums and yet wants all the attention to herself 😆
