Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Overseas Business

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has grossed around $600k over the first two days which is low but there is the weekend to come so the film has to be judged on that as Holi means nothing overseas. After the insane success of Pathaan the Gulf market seems to have gone back to normal and is not contributing as it should.

Gulf was always going to be the tough market and it has not performed though the other markets like US, UK and Australia are also low but they can be given some leeway as they are not scoring on Wednesday and Thursday unless its some event film. The two day collections in all these markets were mediocre.

The genre will be seen to be overseas friendly but that is all out of the window today and generally whatever does well in India tends to do well overseas. The target is probably to hit around $2 million overseas which is very average at best and there is a chance it could stay lower

Okay, I see...(but why not put it into the TJMM thread?)

Nothing to worry at the moment, I think. The movie week did not start on Wednesday in most countries...so, just wait and see...after the weekend, one knows more.

I can see why it wouldn't do well in the UK... There's snow everywhere! Who in their sane mind would go out to watch a film?

this kind of film used to be huge hits in the overseas before, now audience moved to OTT, UK and other western countries have become so expensive, people cant afford to watch every film in theatres.
