Hi everyone, it has been ages since I watched an ITV drama and liked it. Although there are some parts of the show I do not agree with, I must say this is a fresh concept for an ITV drama. It seemed so much refreshing to me that by the third epi I was convinced this can in NO WAY be an original indian drama and must be inspired by some other country's drama and the plots seemed something you will find in Turkish drama and funnily enough it turns I was completely right without being aware of it.
Now, I don't have any problem that it is not an original drama. I would rather watch a good remake than those typical run of the mil saas bahu dramas. I have not watched the original drama so I don't know how inspired it is but the execution, the performances and production value all seems to be of great quality. I was specially impressed by the child character who plays Atharv's role, he is so good and natural, and love the mother-son duo.
As for Viaan and Katha, they both have parts in their characterization I find hard to believe but I guess in a fictional show you can have that creative liberty. I also find makers or writers try too hard at trying to redeem Viaan's character after what he did by showing third character pov singing praises of his goodness. I feel a more subtle approach would have had more impact. But I do love the chemistry between the leads.
Please feel free to share your views and thoughts and I also wanted to ask since this a Sony drama, it is safe to assume that it is a finite series? I would hate for it to turn into a dragfest of the same old dramas.
