I would say meerab is much much better than many ITV female leads.
Even Kushi from IPKKND took lot of crap from arnav.
She never took stand for herself strongly against arnav for his behaviour towards her. Their first scene itself was so problematic.
But she is entertaining character. No offence to IPKKND fans. I myself is fan of this show.
While meerab character is different. She has self respect. Takes stand for herself and others.
Doesn't melt easily. But she has poor decision making skills. Sometimes impulsive, stupid. She is a pampered girl. But life throws a huge challenge for her after her birth truth revealation.
She is unable to handle it. Since childhood she saw a murtasim who showed dislike towards her.
When he suddenly showed his caring side post marriage, she is unable to accept the change in him. She thinks it is his play. The reason why she says u r trying to impress me.
Meerab might be anything but this girl knows how to respect herself.
