No soul connection

Honestly i do not feel soul connection between Maan

That something special connectio that when many suitors of male lead is there yet that special magic between the soul mates is missing

Reason could be vanraj being given pprominence with anupama over anuj kapadiya after marraige too or shahs getting priority over kapadiyas by anupama

I never watch many indian serials

But if you see love story you can see leads have that chemistry that soul connection

Like next serial in Star Yeh hai chahtein(which i only started to watch because it came after anupama) so many woman are after the male lead and a few men are after female lead yet you can see that chemistry and soul connection when so many suitors are around also between them

Even when ex girl friend current girl friend future GF or ex boy friend there you can make out leads have soul connection although they say they hate each other do not love each other and do everything possible to hurt each other in front of exs

Imagine in yeh hai chahtein that samrat staying with ex wife and nayan in same house yet you are sure samart loves only nayan never mansi his ex wife although ex wife kissing him falling all over him much more than any maya has fallen for anuj

Either something wrong in writing of show that you feel more soul connection in vanraj anupama scenes after divorce too than after marriage of maan

Even with a child between lead that parent that soul connection miissing you feel like CA is not their child that parent chemistry too missing

Something is so off in this show not sure why soul connection not there or not coming out

No matter 10 mayas after anuj or 10 vanraj after anupama but yet you must feelthat soul connection atleast like other love story

When that it self is missing in show between leads either because of story or the way both act its tough to connect and feel sorry for leads as is happening with CA maya track

You do not feel any sympathy that CA is going away from maan

Somewhere audience feel CA is better off without maan no matter how bad maya may be

This is only serial where i see viewers rooting for Maya or sideys more than leads

IN YHC the child is not even leads but when someone omes and takes kid away and leads cry you feel so sorry for them although they are not kids parents just adopted kid like CA only

But still you root for leads over real parents getting kid as you know no real parent can love kid more than adopted parents(foster parents) who are leads

Not sure what is off but barkha and akush feel more like a couple than maan when they start fighting with maya or shahs you root for them much more than leads although ankush had ema

I thought after anuj marries anupama their love story will be epic like romeo juliet salim anarkali yeh log tho after marriage are acting like ex spouses kuch chemistry kuch angst kuch nahi hai dono ke beech main to root for them

They are like two strangers living together for past 8 months or whatever

Even strangers have more chemistry or connection saath main reke without any relation than these two

Anuj and anupama are not strangers forced to marry each other they are classmates who know each other from 30 years

Atleast behave like classmates that familiarity that care and concern for a classmate also not showing bet them

They know each other from a college times when both were 16 years of age kids teenageers yet they act like stranger forced to live with each other marry each other

If you cannot act like soul mate over lovers act like classmate at least not like strangers forced into a wedding

Anupama beh reminds me of UP/Bihra where for lack of dowry they kidnap ggroom and put gun on head and marry girl off to a stranger

Its like anupama has been married to anuj at gun point

Anuj too is responsile for this mess he has no character no values no self respect nothing whatever anupama or shahs do is right whatever rest world says or does is wrong is his policy

Anuj does not come off as a 46 year old mature US educated business tycon at all by his behv

I totally agree! And that is why I find all MaAn scenes a total cringefest.

There was some magic after their marriage. But, no more. I just FF all MaAn scenes nowadays.

Part of the thing might be that the only thing these two seem to have in common or ever seem to talk about is the Shah family. Or now the adoption track. I wished the writers explored more of Anupama and Anuj’s own identities separate from Shah issues.

In MaAn no soul connection it's only lust connection 😆 Anupama needs Anuj only for physical needs and ab to Anuj ki taraf se bhi Anupmaa ke liye kuch missing hai waise i think in future Anupama pregnant ho sakti hai 🤣

Anupamaa has two moods, run to Shah house because KH can do without her,

Or run to Anuj because he might leave her.

Anuj has two moods, dancing on 90s songs with MAA as if she has no worries at all

Or being scared of talking to MAA because she will cry.

None of these depict mutual understanding, only negligence or insecurity. Having compatibility at dance or playing games doesn't make you a good couple. I have good dance chemistry with 2 of my colleagues and always team up in games with 3 others, doesn't mean they are my soulmates.

This is the reason why I never got attached to him .

He doesn't have that swag and attractiveness ...

The aura of a business tycoon with whom no one can mess around with...

Anuj is good looking for sure but his aura is so repulsive..

What he did to his sister was so disgusting...He doesn't even remember his parents who adopted him.

It's just the creatives fault who are unable to display human emotions through screen.

Yaar not sure whether we can discuss here about other shows. But if you ask me I would say I was so much connected to Arnav and Kushi then Dev and Sonakshi. That spark was there... maybe because of age and all not sure. But those were like my AWW........

Wholeheartedly agree that given their circumstance in the story, it is hard to make sense of a romantic scene that is forced in. It is indeed very awkward.

However, for some viewers as noted above, Anupama looks fake and they watch it only for GK.

Some watch it for both, because they genuinely feel Anupama needs to be happy even if it means for a short while.

Some choose not to watch at all because as noted above, it makes no sense in the story or their charm has worn off completely. Different folks, different strokes.

Added later: The story has turned so bad that I find everything about the this show weird.Neither am I able to enjoy reading other fictional works on them. I am embarassed that I had written some on them not too long ago! Yikes!
