Agree on both these points....I'm quite further ahead in my binge watch and almost caught up so hopefully I can speak to the current epis soon.

But what a rollercoaster of a journey it's been, especially post the ONS and Viaan's efforts to find answers and "closure" while Katha was basically like, "you live with this - I won't give you answers"....lol.....so many hard hitting and well executed scenes along the way....a few I must mention - when he tries to talk to her at one of her job IVs and finally bursts out that he needs to know why she showed up that night, why she took the money because he knows she's not like this....toh she very firmly tells him that she feels no guilt - he's the one drowning in guilt and thinking he will assuage his guilt by getting answers for why she came that night.

Her no guilt stance and her conviction makes it such a compelling watch , post ONS is basically where I started watching and I could not go back as I was compelled to watch it unfold. Every time they come face to face after that or a scene where they are in a same room , it felt like air crackled. The way she would just move away if he came even a bit closer made him so restless.

Then the Dubai trip scenes....lol Viaan's face when he sees her laughing for the first time - utterly enchanted since then only but has no clue about it. Then his desperation to just talk to her driving him to offer her money again....oh boy did that one misfire big time😆....but uske baad his restlessness deffo kicked into another gear with the way he was frantic when he couldn't find her at the hotel and then the way he just sat at a distance from her in the airport lounge - too scared to approach her😆. This has been the crux of what's made the dynamic between the characters so interesting - the fact that the ONS left him so much more tormented than her and it only kept growing with time.

Dubai trip was such a bad idea especially since Abdali let the cat out of the bag 😆 Viaan bilkul baukhla gaya , just imagine him offering her money just to talk, boy did not learn his lesson at all here😆 Its nice for once to see the guy getting buried in guilt , about yeh kya kar diya maine and girl being I did nothing wrong.

All this came to a head when he finally found out the truth....that was a really powerful scene as he shows up so devastated right outside her house and the way he's just all broken, crying, apologizing to her over and over again that he didn't know she was a mom and her child was suffering so much. But Katha being Katha again cuts to the heart of the matter that how does it matter that she was a mom - doesn't make what happened right. One of the most powerful bits in this scene was the way she said there were two of us in the room that night - we both did something wrong....but I know what answers I will give to God when it's time.....but what answers will you give? I accepted the ghatiya offer you made but the offer was still YOURS - nothing will change that. And the way Viaan is just so devastated and crying over and over that this isn't him, this isn't him.....really heart wrenching scene from both perspectives.

Thats my favorite scene till now!! He was so utterly devastated , completely shattered about what he did( he drove all the way without his shoes) . He just wanted her forgiveness but man Katha really cut him to size by simply saying , how does it matter?? I was so sold the way he asked for forgiveness, you can feel that he was absolutely disgusted with himself and needed some bit of closure. But a simple question from Katha put things into perspective, how does it matter? Just because I am a mom you feel guilty?

It was such a powerful scene !

The way they've depicted the build ups and the turning points in the story has been really commendable....the tension between Viaan and Katha really makes for a compelling watch.

In addition to that they managed to stay away from a lot of cliche scenes till now.

And then there's Aarav....it's been even more fun to watch him post his recovery and the way he's opened up in doing things with his mom, the way he's trying to the "man of the house", protecting his mom from Chik chik uncle😆....the way they set up his friendship with Viaan has also been very sweet....everything feels organically paced without feeling like a gimmick stuffed in *touchwood*

Lol at him being the man of the house , monkey hokar bhi ped pe chadha nahi jata. 🤣He is just adorbs, always talking about the women in his life😆 I love their bond and the fact that its built on him not knowing he is Kathas son as opposed to that chik chik uncle. Team Batman- Robin against chik chik uncle🥳

Katha in this story is depicted as this magnificent being that everyone is enchanted with on some level...either her talent impresses you or you are impressed by her sheer strength/resilience.

Till now they have done good with her character but you never know when it will turn to typical sacrificial lamb.

Yeah if you watch in sequence, you really feel for Katha's struggle in arranging the money and why she finally makes the choices she does. Pyramid wala angle along with that Amrita wala angle was really well used to set up the office drama/conflicts in those early epis....

Just watched the episode with life insurance agent, that was the most difficult scene to watch and before that she goes to the FIL again 😵, what a crappy man. I don’t know how she is able to forgive him .,😵

The FIL-MIL wala angle I guess was trying to later on show another version of husband-wife dynamics with egotistic husband being unfair to his wife or something but I honestly didn't have any patience left for these two so I keep forwarding their scenes😆

I glossed over everything only started watching their scenes after hriday parivartan of dadaji but now I feel only😡

I was also remembering that when I'd gotten into Imlie, tab uska bhi baseline yehi tha ki it's a controversial storyline but the acting and execution is natural and we used to appreciate the show for that....but dekho uska kya haal hua finally😆. Yahaan bhi it's quite engaging right now cuz they are navigating the complexities of the plot well but aage pata nahin ultimately kya typical drama thoosenge😆

I just pray to god that they end in 100 episodes or something like that but I am pretty sure they will completely butcher both Katha and Viaan before ending it. I have full faith in our TV shows 😆

I was completely misguided by my friend who told me it started well but turned into a love triangle and then the kid doesn’t like the ML 🤣. That is the reason I started with the controversial part to see how they execute it but then got immersed in it.

Well the good thing is as per trp this one is one of the highest grosser on Sony at 0.6 wh8ch is high by Sony standard to let's hope it does well so we can enjoy but baaki just was thinking ke tabahi toh kareinge whenever they decide to get them married Caz that is when sab ke sab loose plot or will have to see what the otfoinal show followed after but I bet yeh log toh koi SaaS bahu drama lake karenge hi Caz chil Mach jaati hai.

However yes I was blown with her integrity too ke at such a desperate time too she chose loyalty and that speaks so muh about so eine's character without bajaooing dhondora at a time when she needed money the most and they knew it and wanted to take advantage of her situation how she stood for self and always had been confused main toh thi nahi so why keep calling me.. I mean that was such a touchy area anybody in her place would have been big deal yes a 100x over what is loyalty to a firm over life of your child but not Katha Caz she gives her kaam the same respect and love woh jo ek apne kaam ki izzat hai na iski nazar main thay touches you and then again that distinguishing line that aarav is way above kaam but yet kaam ki bhi izzat aise toh nahi dikhaya ke she doesn't care for her beta for kaam nope that is hard to achieve these days

One of the scenes thay really made me teary so far is the one where she is recording that message for crowd funding and aarav keeps coming and how she kept pushing her tears back gaining and regaining her composure and then snapping at him but handling it so well with maayein hamesha achi actor hoti hai..classss

Also I just say they have set up viaan ka past his thought process the trauma so well too I like that he has an image a thought process in regards to women yet he still respects them and maintains a line as a boss too matlab woh blind hate for a complete gender nahi hai ven if he does generalize..

I liked that too that they showed us his mindset and where he is coming from.

Oh and I am really liking his friend too Caz he is jot nosy yet close bhai jaise hain but I like woh jo boundaries hain and jaise they handle each other they know when to give space and when to speak it is refreshing Caz aajkal many shows cannot even get that right either it is too much or too casual.

Don’t keep too high hopes on him. I have a question why do they call him SN when his name is Ehsaan. 🤔

That is where the genius of the writing came through. Viaan knew what happened was wrong but initially he was so filled with his contempt for why she took the money that he didn't even dwell that much on the fact that she was clearly uncomfortable - he thought she only considered it a business deal toh she is over it all. But when she started conveying it to him bit by bit in every moment when she would move away from him, that's when it started pricking him like shards of glass....you could literally feel the pricks of blood it drew from him each time....the devastation building up in him that she is treating him like a leper and can't stand to be in his presence.....a TRAUMA would show up in her eyes, a haunted look that would in turn haunt him....not leaving him with any scope to compartmentalize that night in his mind even if he wanted to.

There is a scene much later when he tells her in his imagination that he just simply wants her to SEE him as being more than that dark night....that is what is eating him up inside that the moment she looks at him, all he feels is endless darkness in her eyes swallowing him up whole. He knows he isn't worthy of forgiveness but he just wants to be seen as being more than what happened that night.

LOL Viaan actually thought he could get away with making up that trip on the spot and using Abdali as an excuse😆.....matlab his desperation simply to get her to talk to him was on another level back then😆....Baad mein toh he stepped back somewhat once he found out the truth but until then the lengths he went to simply ki ek chance mil jaaye to talk to Katha properly and get the answers to the questions eating him up. But the LOOK that Katha gave him when she realized he deliberately brought her to Dubai😆....and Viaan unable to meet her eyes 😆.

The reason we are getting the guy buried in guilt here is because Viaan is a strange mix of idealism, twisted self-loathing and genuinely deep rooted good conscience.....his CONSCIENCE being well and alive is the reason he is drowning in guilt....warna to make an offer like that and even go through with it, one would think a person's conscience would have to be dead or non-existent...but Viaan's conscience is very much alive and the reason he made that offer was a strange mix of cynicism, anger, self-loathing and yes, somewhere his attraction to Katha which has been there from day one whether or not he realizes or admits it. He was drawn to her, that is why he wanted to test her to see if she lived up to the admiration and trust he had begun to feel for her.....and given his past baggage from his father, his parameters of testing a woman came from that aspect only - he needed to know if the woman he admired would sell herself for money like the many other women he saw around him. His conscience was kicking him all throughout when he was making and going through with this offer too but his baggage overwhelmed his conscience for that moment and now he has to live with the consequences.

Yes, I'm still surprised that 50 episodes in, no one has had any trip/catch scenes or look look hawaa hawaa😆....not even the cheesy flirting Ehsan who is constantly pursuing Katha....lol. Despite not a single cliched scene like that, they are conveying such intensity....sparks are flying all over the place between Katha and Viaan despite not a single "close" scene of that sort barring the ONS night and wahaan bhi discomfort was the key element so that can hardly be romanticized. The charm is coming through from all the nuances, what a look or a glance conveys rather than slow motion mein blowing breeze😆

Team Batman-Robin are ADORABLE....lol itna naturally their dynamic came through in the scenes....kudos to the child actor playing Aarav also that he's doing such a good job in his equation with every adult in the show. I'm also loving that Viaan-Aarav have bonded on their own as individuals rather than through Katha. Viaan basically bonded with him over his love for his mom cuz he himself is the same way - hero worshiping his mom. But itne naturally aaye hain scenes without the kid being shown as oversmart...uski maasoomiyat ko maintain kiya hai.

LMAO your friend really gave you kuch aur hi picture,k haan?😆.....this is nothing like the other typical love triangles going on on ITV.....Ehsan ko love triangle bhi kitna hi bolein - bas faltu mein chep ho raha hai😆.....Katha toh is basically just keeping to herself, focused on her son and work....it's the two men who are fixated on her in different ways.....lol....but the complications here are so beyond the typical ITV love story or triangle right now ki filhaal us zone mein nahin daal sakte. Trust me, I am BEYOND tired of the current crop of cheap triangles or EMA/bigamy stuff overload on ITV and I can recognize when a show is in that zone....this ain't it so far😆

But yes, we can deffo count on ITV and Sony to ruin this soon after hitting 100 episodes....lol woh track record toh usually consistent hai Sony ka.....matlab even Patiala Babes used to have such FINE writing at one point even though it wasn't as contemporary and low key in its approach as Katha....but ultimately PB ka bhi kachra kar hi diya tha na PH ne....lol so I'm sure yahaan bhi dhoond lenge some way to kachrofy.....but we can enjoy it till then😆

As Fary said, the show will likely go downhill the moment they get Katha-Viaan together or get them married😆....aur yeh jo FIL-MIL are acting so nice right now, yeh pehle fiip maarenge if Katha's second marriage happens....lol inko sirf Aarav se matlab hai and they will throw her under the bus in a heartbeat if they feel that Aarav is not their exclusive grandson anymore....lol
