EK shows start with bang , good plot , in fact even her supporting char and actors are good and I still stand by she was the one who gave all iconic couples else who would have ever thought Karan Patel and Shubhangi atre could hve chemistr. But her stories should stop max at 1.5 years as plot goes haywire after that .

But if ur in for good stories then u shld dig YouTube for 90 tv soaps - Alpviram, Hasratein they maybe old style but story is solid and performances are top notch .A mouthful of sky, sea hawks are few others .

Used to watch hasratein and dastan with mum, ahhhhhh lankesh I still say greatest onscreeen villain of all time. That is another missing on tv great villains. I loved dastan entry song, lived in Saudi so close to home for me.

Btw can you watch all these on YouTube, I saw they have some episodes but not complete set.

love or hate ekta you have to admit she knew casting magic, most of her iconic couples worked because she cast so well and understood which character fit which actor.

I will check out the list. There are still some Korean shows to check out, but lately there is a dry spell in the romance department we haven’t had a big blockbuster since hometown cha cha.

katha ankahee is supposedly good, but I have seen the original Turkish show which was excellent so hard to relate to the new one. And they add all the stupid Indian sentiments mess up the story.

we have a lot of fine actors on Indian tv, unfortunately there are no stories to tell.

I agree with you they have indianized him to suit the trp audience. But in the original story he is not creepy, but has serious trust issues and is emotionally damaged by betrayal. He is not supposed to be likeable but that was the usp of the show, that not all love stories are about good guys. The journey is the struggle to get better, but I would say he was not toxic either. We don’t see complicated characters like that on tv it takes great writing, either the guy is a villain or a hero.
