so i went back and saw the tea sigh scene, my interpretation of that scene was he knows she is just here to throw a temper tantrum so he is bracing himself lolzzzz.

more than the romance I am really enjoying this drama for the brilliant acting. Rarely we get to see romantic stories anymore where the actor has more to say with his eyes than his words. My all time favourite romantic heroes mr.Darcy and mr.Thornton are men of less talk and show emotion. So I enjoy any scene where murtasim has to display his feelings without words.

But I think the whole kidnapping incident including taking care of her after was Wahaj at his best. You get to see the rainbow of emotions. His fear when he couldn’t find her, his shock when he hears her voice, his anguish when he see her weeping, his rage amping up to get revenge. When he brings her home, the whole scene was chefs kiss.

There is another thing I noticed when murtasim is angry on meerub, the emotion of why he is angry is different from before and after marriage. For example when he is fighting outside her home after the first meeting or after she refuses to marry him in the tea scene the anger in murtasim eyes is more hate, rage and even tinge of disgust.

But after marriage his anger is more impatience, sadness and disappointment. After the walima dance his rage is filled with grief over her antics, when he stands up in the panchayat after her defiance and in the car his rage is disappointment and helplessness never hate. Props to wahaj for this nuanced performance very few actors can display rage in different shades. This shows that murtasim anger for an enemy like malik or a stranger like meerub before marriage is cruel and cold, but with his wife the one he loves even in anger he channels his affections.

Great analysis 👍👏..... although Darcy and Murtasim are two totally different types of personalities but i agree both Matthew macfadyen and Wahaj ali emote through their eyes 😍❤...and more you know/involve in their characters more you fall in love with each them.

Its was great untill arnav s kidnapping sequence and sham s truth came out.after that they dragged it unnecessarily. But yes Arshi are the best onscreen couple of ITV till date😍
