Because hum kitna bhi keh le in age difference marriages like they have, 24 years is huge.. and power imbalance is inevitable... Bringing the balance means Vidhi will have to step up and Dev will have to let go... It will not be easy and that's the character growth I am looking forward to....

However, looking at the writers and directors that we have now I have my reservations...

I agree, dev has to let go, and they show him letting go, trying to shift his perspective etc. Vidhi se bas time to time yeh kehwate hi ki koshish karungi and there is no follow-up/change - which is aggravating.

Again it is probably sloppy writing. But what baffles me is that they can continue show dev as such a deep, layered character but vidhi after marriage has become like 1 dimensional. Mrs. Fix-It. She wasn’t this way before. Is it because they are trying to fit her into the perfect wife/bahu box (which shouldn’t even exist in the first place)

Exactly vidhi ko perfect bahu kyu dikhana. Kaun perfect hota hai waise bhi. Every person has flaws. This mahan bahu plot has been done n number of times ki ab ismei kuch naya dikha hi nhi sakte. Character ko consistent rakhe like Dev ko shareef rakhe vidhi ko innocent+stupid rakhe. Amba ko classy vamp rakhe, priya ko cribbing shrewd sister in law.

Mausaji ko kyu rakha hai mujhe samajh nhi aata unse zyada bolne ka mauka to kalumal aur hariya ke mohalle waalo ko milta hai.

100% - aise rakh kar bhi ye log ache se pulav ya biryani bana sakte hai.

Vidhi ko innocent + stupid se innocent + stupid + bold bana de to meherbaani hogi. Again bold inke formula mein fit nahi hoti, to innocent + stupid hi rakhe. Mahaan banane ki koi zaroorat nahi.

Mausi aur mausaji ka pata nahi - ek kahawat hai - mehmaan aur macchi, 3 din ke baad dono se badaboo aane lagti hai.

What if they show Dev to be sperm donor who had donated his sperm to his friend in London and had promised that he will not let anyone else know about this because for men infertility is kind of very difficult to accept and come out in open that also in 1990s

That's why Dev hid this thing and is not telling even Vidhi ,which wil create misunderstanding and Maybe Yamini will come and clear all this mess

I was just thinking 😂😅this makes more sense because then dna can also match and some traits too .baki divya may have copied some.Amba mayhave come to know about this somehow and using this thing to create doubt in Vidhi's mind

Writers better use logic in this track otherwise Dev's character will be ruined .

But you are totally right, ITV writers cannot write beyond standard ghisa pita tracks and yaha online audience is always there to give them interesting / layered tracks to write! They should just hire writers from the online audience 👍🏼👍🏼
