Plot wise - I think all of this is building up to that ridiculous promise being overturned.
In terms of financial independence - it looks like nobody is in any which way independent in that family. Everyone one needs each others approval for money 🤷🏻‍♀️

One thing that bothers me about Vidhi’s current situation but is something fixable with a conversation I think - is her view about using Devs money. The concept financial independence is important - yes, but viewing herself as financially dependent is incorrect.

Maybe this was true in her case wrt her parents - where they were barely making ends meet and she was unemployed and dependent on them. But now, she has dev’s resources at her disposal and it should be something she should be made comfortable to use/not feel guilty about using. That in my opinion would be the realistic/practical approach.

Her need to have a career is a whole different conversation and goes beyond being financially able.

These are the sort of real issues I think should be addressed not made up secrets or probable children from the past.

I think it’s because these guys are trying to make dev seem shady.

Post a quick rewatch of the whole dev blowing his top off scene - I don’t think what Dev said to vidhi today(specifically with the interfering) was wrong at all, he said ki you are new in this house, you can’t interfere with everything, you have to give it time. Yes he could have said it more calmly, but given the way the previous scene was written I think the reaction was natural. Iqbal was really good in this scene, and to me it dint seem out of character for dev. It was no better or no worse than him firing her for gossiping.

Not going to comment on the diary stuff because it was just ridiculous.

His monologue before trying to make up was sensible too - he was like he needs to separate house issues from his relationship with vidhi. Vidhi doesn’t need to solve the house issues, that’s his responsibility.

I think what Dev tried to tell Vidhi is right, he explained that people would assume her to be interfering as she is new to the house and people barely know her. He did not want his family members to think wrongly of her. And his monologue also clears his stand for Vidhi. But Vidhi was right that he had to discuss this matter personally with Abhi and he needs to realise that. Coming to rearranging his stuff that was a natural reaction on a bad day, any other day he would have probably coolly asked her.

The Divya matter looks so out of place just to fit in some drama to meet the ITV standards. Hopefully she turns out to be niece of Dev from his own sister who is lost when young or some fake one planted by Amba. The whole essence of the show will be ruined with the daughter angle and it will be like watching KZK again🙆‍♀️

I just watched the jhagda part... I didn't find it wrong or OTT... I think he reacted the same way he always does... Aise relationships mein jo bada hai uska yeh kehna ki main bada hoon to sahi hoon is natural... Isko maturity ke sath handle karna padega.... And Inka relationship abhi bhi boss and employee jaisa hi hai... That needs to break and will happen slowly... This transition will take time...I liked the part where he asks vidhi not to get involved in everything... Hum bhi to yehi keh rahe the...

Last bit is also fine... Dev ka manna ki it is not Vidhi's responsibility to solve everything is very matured...

Dekha maine lunch time mei. Inki relationship mei power dynamics gadbad hai. Dev is still rich high and mighty dev sir Vidhi still poor naive innocent sometimes stupid girl. Equal grounds pe nhi hai dono. What dev said was right during fight but how he said it was wrong reminded me of good old office scoldings of vidhi. Abhi tak vidhi adhikaar se hug nhi kar sakti kamra arrange nhi kar sakti, bichaari bas raichand naam ka billa laga ke ghume kya?

Regarding Divya, Dev ko shady kyu bana rhe hai uska kad itna uncha banaya hum viewers ke dimaag ke ab dhoka ho rha hai humaare saath aisi feeling aa rhi hai.

Mujhe precap bahut ajeeb laga... Upar se Shweta ne ek BTS post kee Dev Dubba Divya ke sath, they have ruined the gentleman image which we had regarding Dev.

Yes - second this! I don’t think one can be an island in a joint family, but one definitely doesn’t need to insert themselves in every situation. This is realistic.

Considering a week ago, she was handing out parenting lectures, picking up people’s phones etc, she definitely needed some perspective.

The whole boss - employee vibe is very off putting - aisa lag raha hai ki dev ne apni assistant ko aake ghar pe rakh diya.
