I also could not understand the western costumes that women wear in KA to work. Why can't they wear Indian wear to work.

Except MamaG, Dodo and Guni Maa, no one wears Indian cloths. I think Katha wears kurtas at home.

I convinced myself that even if it is not relatable that no one wears Indian wear at work, it is much better than other shows, where we get to see FL doing her hospital duty in silk sarees, sleeveless blouse and full on make up🤣🤣
I am at peace with that. we can't get everything so realistic guys. Better to be happy with what we are getting

totally normal with daily serials. there are many dramas where some parts of the arc I get bored. I will skip episodes here and there and just watch from a distance. if I am still not interested, I drop it altogether.

then there are serials where I managed to get through the boring bits because of the forum -- there are some kdramas I only finished because I wanted to keep chatting. the convos were both hilarious as well as interesting. 😆 so the forum was 100% more entertaining compared to the drama and I still had fun. because of the forum, I got through the boring bits and then the drama picked up again for me.

so don't just read, but click a reaction button and make a snarky post if you can. many times, we are laughing at all the characters here including viaan and katha -- you don't get that benefit in some drama forums where no one is allowed to say anything bad about the ML or FL. 😅

With kdramas ,I never was a part of discussions or any forum.. This forum made watching this drama such a fun experience for me.. so I will be here and try making snarky posts agar sujhenge toh 😆

I have seen many videos of architects who are into sustainable space -- most of the time, the guys are in kurtas (with jeans/pants) and have a very laidback personal style. the women are also wearing saris or salwars or kurtis with a very nonchalant / non-glam kind of vibe.

in another post, I mentioned chayaa nanjappa, a women entrepreneur whose business is honey. because she is from coorg, her business is set in coorg and she works with rural people (tribals, farmers and those from the coorg area) in collaboration with khadi industry (govt outfit that works with promoting rural development), her outfits even in interview pieces reflect that -- she is shown wearing a coorgi style drape of sari.

so people in the space of sustainability, made in india, rural development space generally have a certain style that favours more indian or indowestern wear.

so definitely a bit of dark comedy that every woman in earthcon is dressed in western wear. like I mentioned before, I don't have a issue with western clothes. my issue is that by showing every woman in that office dressed that way, the implicit message is that indian wear is not formal or professional -- that I have a gripe with and that annoys me on some level. 👎🏼
