Tum sabke comments padhke mujhe na dekhne ki himmat hi nahi ho rahi hai ab... Main aaj ka aur kaal ka bhi chod rahi hun... Yeh dubba mujhse jhela nahi jayega...

Yaar kyon kar rahein hain yeh Aisa hamare sath... I feel sad for the actors who are giving their best...

His reaction was not ok, agreed. Yes there is imbalance of power in this relationship - and it is very hard to ignore. He has been trying very hard, and very vocally to bring her to the same level as him. My two cents is that it is not just on him to put in the effort to bring them to the same page. Vidhi needs to show some maturity too and I think this is what the makers need to show. I’m trying hard to understand what Vidhi was trying to do by continuously butting in. That was childish. Does it justify what was said after - no. But labeling it as abusive is a little extreme.
I’m seeing a lot of immaturity and still a lot of vidhi the intern in her. And vidhi the intern brings out dev the boss. Ultimately it takes two to build a relationship, and both of them need to shake that office foundation off.

PS - through majority of their office run, this has been their relationship - she does something, he reacts and he feels bad/makes up for it.

PPS - all of this is a cliched trope-y way of putting questions about dev in Vidhi’s head. In no way do I condone such behavior between partners, but in this case I think it’s important to bring it out so that it can be addressed by both of them.

I’m very conflicted - I want to support the actors and the other people involved in the show, but this divya track is being executed horribly.

they are trying to get people to question dev and his intentions, and in order to do that they are forcing a track that nobody wants to see.

I wish they give us a good break from the drama with the honeymoon episodes, I think we all need to be able to reconnect with the characters and the show.

After watching couple of recent episodes, my mindset is turning negative, and that is exactly what they are not trying to achieve.

But sadly they are heading in that direction.

I have to purify my mind with dhoop kinare. And may be other real life stories.

Dhoop kinare ❤️❤️❤️

I understand what you are trying to say but I don’t think vidhi will ever bring herself to see as an equal when she is constantly required to ask him about every little thing. On one hand he wants her to call him by his name but on the other hand he reprimands her for getting her viewpoint or trying to tell him that he is doing something wrong. I never said dev was abusive i was just trying to say the dynamic reminds me of abusive relationships where when the abusive partner is happy he treats the other person like a queen basically love bombing but when they are not happy or slightly agitated they resort to reducing the other person to an object who is in their way like dev did today.I would not have cared if dev and vidhi had a fight but the way dev spoke to dev it was like a warning instead of a fight which is what did not sit well with me.

This is what aggravates me the most, the tropiest of tropes wrt age difference in relationships:

1. A man much older than the girl will definitely 100% have a secret love child or his intentions are not all above board (he has some deep dark secret that is just waiting to be revealed)

2. A girl younger will always be less than the guy in all materialistic ways but is untouchable morally, and she has to be that way because this guy would never have fallen in love with a normal human being. She will accept anything and everything in the name of the guy, his family, his long lost kids etc.

ITV does not have the maturity to deal with such relationships with grace. I think the creatives with NUKSh are trying really hard, but they are struggling with maintaining expectations. They opened a filler storyline with Priya’s affair and to wrap it up they had to insert dev and vidhi to fix it. All while trying to insert the next storyline - which is absolutely not sitting well with anyone at all.

I get it - and this characterization is something I am struggling with as well. From how they have depicted dev so far, he is not the carrot and stick type of guy. A part of me feels it’s circumstantial mainly driven by this looming garbage plot.

WRT Vidhi and Dev - Dev until now has been shown to be extremely supportive - the only case where he dint outright support her is this whole work thing, and I believe he is just buying time for now. But he was someone who dint support priya for all these years, so this stance of his shouldnt be all that unsurprising. But everything else, whatever and however she’s asked for, no matter how stupid has been done. Makers are wasting time on useless plots like Divya’s signature when they - in my humble opinion - should be focusing on things like - what do I do for money conversation. Age gap romance or not, that is a very necessary conversation to have.

I agree it is vidhi’s mahan attitude as well which makes it worse. She will never be able to pull out of a toxic relationship because of how she is. Someone wise had said “ A bad relationship is not one where one of the partner is bad ,it is one when one of the partner is unable to leave if the other one becomes bad”

And as of now I don’t see vidhi being able to leave if things go bad because of her family and her lack of financial and emotional independence

Leave - No - she will do what priya never managed to do - work 😄😄 and the whole family will do wah wahi of how she manages everything.

Plot wise - I think all of this is building up to that ridiculous promise being overturned.
In terms of financial independence - it looks like nobody is in any which way independent in that family. Everyone one needs each others approval for money 🤷🏻‍♀️
