I have seen this with anuj he respect woman based on their maritial status or their economic abiity etc

like kavya he wanted to be rude like maya only but since shes a man wife vanrajs wife he did not cross much limits and said mrs shah always although he was rude to her in initial many months. As soon as kavya was happy for him marrying anupama and stood up those who opposed marraige like vanraj and baa he started respecting her a lot. Means shes ok with maan marraige so he started respecting not because hes a woman or a human like him or anupama

like barkha initially he was like barkha babhi is like mother to me. But when he came to know ankush is bankrupt and will work for him he started barking at her and humiliating her and ankush too. So them being super rich made her his mother but fact that shes bankrup cousin wife made him bark and bite at her. Also fact that anupam always humilates barkha for shahs and misbehaves with her made him observe and bite at barkha more.
