That strategy worked for Shahrukh. People were use to not seeing Aamir for long gaps. But they missed Shahrukh when he was not on screen for 4 years for the first time. It must have felt like a century for his fans who were not use to it.

This is what happens when you have five movies releasing in one year. People barely have a chance to forget your last flop when your next flop comes out 😆. On serious note, given his age this might be more than just a bad phase. If his next 2 or 3 also flop he might have to phase out of main lead roles and go into character roles or father roles. Akshay actually playing Kiara or Kriti’s father instead of their lover. Poor thing. I don’t know if he can handle it without some serious help and support 🤪
