Can't believe it's been 9 years to it's disappearance and nobody knows what or where it went. I'm pretty sure this documentary won't reveal anything new. Netflix documentaries are always a bust. What y'all think?

No, the political reason is only speculation/conspiracy theory by far. Debris doesn't equal to prominent parts of the plane being found. The supported leader being jailed happened only a day prior to MH370 disappearing. This was anything but impulsive. It seemed to be planned for a long time. A lot of theories even by major publications and experts have hinted at a mass-murder suicide plot. The main pilot was said to be clinically depressed. This is also not the first time a depressed pilot had done something like this. Germanwings flight 9525 was crashed by co-pilot Lubitz who reportedly suffered from depression and anxiety and declared unfit to fly. But he kept this info from his employers and crashed the plane in the French Alps killing around 150 passengers in 2015. He locked the captain out of the cockpit and steered the plane to commit this mass suicide plot. Somewhat similar incident happened to EgyptAir 990 back in the 90s. There was a massive cover up by the respective governments and countries as to save the airlines rep and also theirs.

If this were politically motivated it would have a huge splash. The Malaysian authorities were so back handed about this whole thing because when the mh370 broke off contact deliberately after crossing into Vietnam, they were alerted about it. Atleast their military radar picked it up when Zaharie (reportedly) took a U-turn into Malaysia again to head towards the Indian Ocean. The thing is the plane had been in air for 8 hours after the loss of contact. It reportedly crashed around 8-8:30 am the next morning infact when it broke contact at 1:00 am. The Malaysian authorities wanted to keep all of this info under wraps but it eventually came out during search/rescue efforts.

It is all very murky and stamping it with politically motivated is not right when no stringent evidence had been found about it yet.

I've have been following this since 2019. I probably know every piece of info that is available publicly about this disappearance. Believe me, I need closure too. To think what family and friends of the victims must have felt/feeling is unimaginable. Boeings are beasts. It's so unreal that a plane could go missing like this with all the modern satellites and radar technology we possess.
