Yes initially that was the plan but afterwards the makers realized that without Akshay the film is not gonna work, so personally Shunil convinced Akki to continue with the role and Kartik is literally out of the picture now.

Can't wait to see the trio together again in the franchise!🥳

Smart decision. I don’t know if this will work or not but without Akshay it definitely wouldn’t have worked.

Sunil, yes...that is fine (although, maybe...just maybe...money also played a role in that 😉)

More than money , all his films bombing are the reason he went back to Hera Pheri .. All his next releases except Bade mayian chotte mayian are bonafide disasters ..

Did you take a look at Akshay's filmprojects in 2023? Hera Peri 3 would just be an addition to seven other movies ( released or filmed in 2023).

I seriously wonder how much of his "heart" will be in Hera Pheri 3...
