My biggest gripe: we didn't need a black villain in this story. The circumstances that threw them into this whole cacophony are themselves the villains in their story. Just imagine how interesting it would have been to see Ehsan killing it with kindness while Viaan squirms as he slowly but surely starts liking and loving KathaImagine competition between a kind and desirable Ehsaan and a less than ideal Viaan😭Now Viaan is appearing as Snow-white personified in front of Ehsan. Now is this intentional? We are robbed off the mental exercise of how do you like a guy like Viaan when he did such a blatant blunder. Now, the obvious choice between Ehsaan and Viaan is very clear

Viaan has many hurdles to his love story, starting from his own misjudgment, to overcoming his mom's feelings of " gold digging" or a single mother as a prospective spouse. Katha herself and her past with Adi, her denial despite wanting to be with Viaan, Aarav refusing to let another man take the position of his dad in her mom's life, and of course, the ever looming disaster of Papa G. There are so many villains to his love story.

Aise creepy villain ki kya zaroori thi ? Ehsan is making me very uncomfortable these days and Katha's way of dealing with him is adding to the discomfort😡They tried to deal with harassment in the office space, then why and how did they turn the whole thing on its head and now Ehsaan is invading Katha's personal space. Kabhi uncomfortable hoti and other times notThe guy is raising so many red flags and blaring warning sirens even for a kid like Aarav, where is Katha's intuition? 🤢

ITV needs drama, has limited time to tell a story, and works within the confines of the monster called TRP. If we look at it objectively, most of the time, the makers are doomed to fail.

Once leads get married, forget about logic. Someone recently told me that she was becoming dumb by watching ITV. I will agree as I felt the same for a very long time. It was a limited view on my part as I thought that ITV consisted mainly of EK shows, and those were a big no-no for me. Youtube made me discover some shows which did not follow the trend. In my opinion, those shows only worked because they did not last more than a year.

I think M had started this discussion a while back about finite series. The only way to improve quality is to reduce quantity of the number of eps or just go for finite series.

Coming back to the show, maybe it's too much effort for the makers to invest too much in the characterisation of Ehsan or maybe they underestimate their target audience and think that the audience is limited to understand grey characteristics and can only relate to black or white characters. Either way, part of me understands them. How many times have we seen quality projects fail?

True. And, it's not just the viewers but actors mental health too gets effected due to tragic drama shown for sake of TRP.

Preeti Amin, the character playing Neerja/DoDo,once a lead actress in telugu serials (a popular face in Telugu states ) told in her interview about how the tragedies, sorrowful scenes played by her as lead actress to increase trps took toll on her personal life and went into depression. She told she stopped taking such roles for a long time because of this reason.

Hoping in future television channels change this obsession to drag shows with deteriorating content for trps when ott shows with quality and finite episodes give a tough competition.

That's really sad to know. As audience, we also share the responsibility for this situation. Unfortunately, most people prefer drama to content and quality. It's a vicious cycle. The easy way is for producers to churn out what is working. If you manage to find it, check out the interview which Gul Khan did with Ekta Kapoor. It's an interview which will give you the producer's perspective.

Going by timelines of KA after Aarav's surgery Katha had some Rs.2000 left in her bank account. After she rejoined Earhcon think only one month salary Katha might have received so far,😛 and she might have used most of this salary into Aarav's expensive medicines that has to continue for few more months, his new school admission related expenses, on his cricket classes, for his phone etc. in addition to domestic expenses to run her house & for her work travel to office. Guess she is tightly using remaining amount, till next salary due date.

If Earthcon 50 anniversary gives Katha some bonuses, if Heritage project completion gives new increments assuming she'll have some more money to spend on her own needs like new clothes & sandals after coaxed by Aarav. 🤪
