This show is described as the story of a housewife who sets out to find her own identity. I read many opinions questioning what happened to this premise with the character not seeming to make any progress. But there is also another perspective of looking at it.

Sometimes life takes us on a journey and we still end up at the same place where we started. So what if Anupamaa is back to her maayka as an unpaid maid. The journey is still more important than the destination. Only when she tried to venture out by herself and do something else while failing miserably, did she understand that her happiness only lies in serving tamashahs. Nothing one can do about it

To give an analogy, the sequence of events for Anupamaa turned out to be similar to certain autorickshaw drivers wanting to make a fool out of you who take you around in circles and after travelling for an hour eventually drop you back just 20 metres from the place you started off. Even if you were scammed, eventually the experience counts. Anupamaa realised that she is destined to be within the safe confines of tamashah house rather than the big bad world outside. Let's salute this lady's courage 👏👏

(Thanks for taking the tame to read this unnecessary bhashan. 😂)

She actually had a misconception that she missed out a lot in her life only because Mishter Shah didn't let her do anything.

But she never pondered why isn't he able to stop Kavya.

This story should have opened her eyes that just because she was oppressed doesn't mean she had oodles of talent just waiting to be discovered. Maybe her only talent was housework.

She thinks her talent is dance, but how many offers has she gotten for it, for shows, classes or personal training? But she keeps getting call backs for housework, doesn't she? Why? Because that's her USP, that's her real talent.

Movies, novels and TV shows have led us to believe that the poor and helpless are honest and talented and the rich only benefit due to their privilege and have no talent or hard working skills.

This show opened our eyes to the fact that there are rich hardworking people like Rakhi Dave and Anuj Kapadia and poor lazy-daisies like HasLee who made Vanraj earn for them and are now also expecting him to earn for his kids.

A privileged Kinjal can be honest and a middle-class background Paritosh can be a cheater.

A US returned Adhik knows dignity of labour and manages both a job and housework while a desi Pakhi is entitled and spoilt.

Most importantly, you can never excel when you surround yourself with people who don't support you. You cannot heal diarrhoea by eating Golgappe everyday.

MAA is right. Relationships don't break by signing a piece of paper.

She hasn't broken even one relationship that caused her years of oppression, she just signed a piece of paper. Even before divorce, she was Vanraj's bachhon ki maa, he openly said that, even to her, didn't even try to hide it. And she still is. She might have as well not signed it, wouldn't have mattered.

So wait....the concept of this is on the same level as Paulo Coelho's Alchemist ? Wait, wait, everything is falling into place now. What was portrayed as oppression in the beginning, Anupama breaking out of it thinking that she has finally been set free, the series of what we thought were unfortunate events pulling her back to the place she was trying to escape. She was even severely tested by the introduction of a rich, good looking guy conveniently bursting into existence and ready to do anything for her...but no, she overcame all that with her pallu held high and now seems to going back to where she truly belonged all along.

Thank you for taking your tame with this perspective. Otherwise I'd thought all of this is just sloppy writing and characterisation!

Also, all women, please go out and earn only after everyone in the house is well fed.

Men are useless, no man is ever capable of handling a house on his own.

Not just the patient, even Gynaecologists need someone to give them moral support during surgeries without which the surgery is bound to fail.

It's more traumatic for a r*pe bystander than the victim herself, which is why they go into stony silence when the victim gets taunted and even gaslight her with denial.

There is no point being good, just be a brat and then get sick or have an accident or a nervous breakdown and all will be forgiven.

I agree, she gave it ago, give it all she had, her best. In the end it was with her family, where she feels, the happiest, free, taking care of them night and day. There is nothing wrong with being a free maid. Some of us(I am, only, talking about me🤣) are not good at it and prefer to be out working (need a break) instead of at home all day dealing with kids, in-laws, husband and pets. This free maid loves to be around her abusive family all day, so she should have her choice. 😊To each their own. 👍🏼
