Sri Lanka have set the early pace in this group with 2 wins out of 2 matches. But they're in a group that includes the World Champs and they need to keep winning if they're to qualify for the semis. For Bangladesh, it's all about exposure against the bigger teams at the moment. We'll have another double header coming up tomorrow.

Harshitha Madavi

Two wins in a row and Sri Lanka are on top of Group A.

They upset South Africa's apple cart in the first game, but they nearly slipped to a banana peel loss tonight. Chasing 127, they were rocked early by debutant Marufa Akter's triple burst, but Madavi held her poise and she was joined by Nilakshi de Silva as the pair took their team towards safety first and victory next.

You could say Bangladesh lost the plot after those early wickets and let the Lankans off the hook. Madavi's unbeaten 69 is also Sri Lanka's highest ever individual score in the history of T20 World Cup.

Bangladesh will look back at some silly mistakes which cost them and will hope to come back better with this experience👍🏼
