The only justification being given for Stan's win being deserving is that 'he was real in the show'.

But isn't it much too easy for anyone to be real on BB if all he/she is expected to do is to be depressed and lie down under a blanket half of the time; while spending rest of the time in cribbing and passing snide/ regressive comments on others.

Stan did nothing to entertain, did not do any task, even did simplest of house duty very grudgingly, refused to sing BB anthem or even to move his body to any kind of music inside BB - even the Zumba classes. He wasn't even bothered to participate in a ration task as he knew others will provide him food. BB never once pointed out his sleeping or non-participation. The rarest of times when he was criticized a bit by Salman, Stan went into depression. His fragile ego couldn't even handle a true statement from Shalin that Shiv deserved to win more than him.

Stan didn't even show any good friendship trait - he didn't speak up vocally for Gori, initially even said that Shiv was using Abdu; joined Sajid in harassing Sumbul and never trusted Nimrit.

Is there even 1 good quality that we can say shows Stan in a very good light?

Do we want to have such kind of people even in our real life? Shouldn't such a person actually try to change himself if he is like this in reality??

Also as I mentioned in another thread-

Most of us are dumbfounded by Stan's sudden appearance on the scene. Not many of us had even heard of him before BB16. He isn't even remotely talented - even Shalin, Tina and Priyanka were much better singers; his rap is nothing but kindergarten rhyming. He cannot dance, has no stage presence and looks much too lethargic to even put in an effort, On top of it, he has very regressive views. If BB had to get an influencer for large TRPs, they could have easily found a much more deserving person with even more number of followers. How and why did BB makers zero-in on Stan...how did they even come to know about him? How could they even think that such a person could entertain BB audience? Moreover, when they planned heavily to evict a likeable Ankit, why were they so hell-bent on keeping Stan in the house even when he himself kept cribbing and wanting to go home??

All this is much too fishy and there has to be some kind of underworld/political influence behind Stan. His (lack of) talent or his personality simply doesn't justify his popularity and success!

Bigg Boss is probably one of the few Indian TV shows I follow. My exposure, and interest, in Indian stuff is through my wife who is more of a fan of Indian TV.

That said, I am amazed how Indians approach this show compared to the Big Brother franchise elsewhere. The objective is to survive a set number of days secluded from the outside world among others with various personalities. How these HMs survive the trials and tribulations during this period and how they perform should be the one and only criteria by which one is judged and voted during their stay in the House. Not by what their lives are like outside of the House or how many “followers” they have.

Apparently, in India, it’s who has the largest following outside, etc. that seems to determine who wins. Very peculiar indeed. For me, personally, this attitude violates the very principles this reality show is based on.

Again, I’m no expert, but I think this was likely the reason why some extremely uninteresting, and disinterested individual (in the house) seemed to take home the trophy. Like I said, “very peculiar indeed,” and somewhat disheartening I may add.🤗

The answer to why he was kept inside the house and why he won is the same: his huge fanbase and the tonnes of votes they made for him. Unlike Ankit, he brought in a huge amount of viewership and so it was in the interest of the makers to have him on the show.

Regarding his talents or his personality traits being inferior in comparison to others: it's based on one's perception and personal likings. His fanbase plus the rappers who openly supported him definitely think otherwise. So it can be debated to a length without ever reaching a conclusion.

I didn't know anything about Stan or any other housemate besides Shalin, Sajid and Abdu before this season began. But throughout the season I have maintained that if Stan was to reach the final then he will win. Because he himself has said that before BB he wasn't very active on social sites and was mostly low keen underground type of rapper and even then the number of his followers on IG and YouTube was more than anyone in the house. This number then exponentially rose during his stint inside the house. So just based on numbers, there was no one who could beat him in the final.

And this ain't the first time an inactive contestant has won the title 😆. In Season 1, Rahul Roy won the title and while Stan spent his time sleeping Rahul Roy spent his time meditating in the corner as the other housemates literally ripped each other apart 🤣

I agree with all that you have said. You have literally said what was on my mind!

This year, makers have insulted the viewers. By viewers I mean people who have actually watched the show everyday for the last 4 months.
By viewers, I DONOT mean blind fans!

Yes there can be lots of lame explanation about why he won, but no explanation can justify Stan’s win!

The only contestant who didn’t want to be in the show since the day he entered. The only contestant who contributed the least was crowned as the winner.
This is an insult to all “viewers” who gave their time to watch the show and who made this season a success!!!

What a disgusting ending it has been. Honestly anyone else should have won except this undeserving contestant!!

His thoughts, his words, his demeanour everything was far from being a winner!! It’s sad to see such undeserving contestant being given the trophy in platter!!!

I am not saying it’s Stan’s fault. It’s not! It’s the makers.
Stan was very clear from Day 1 that he didn’t want to be part of the show, he didn’t want to win. He acted accordingly and he did really show that he was not interested. He kept saying that he wanted out. But he was FORCEFULLY kept in by the makers.
To make him happy, to make him stay in the house , makers did everything. From sending his GF’s stuff, to praising him every weekend, arranging concert, makers did everything to keep him in !!!!

As someone who watched the show everyday without a miss since day 1, I feel cheated!

Stan has that none of the contestants have that is real Fans who voted for him since the beginning very sincerely and others contestants fans are just no match for them .I don't have any objections over his win because voting se hi winner declare huwa hai tu janta haina Stan k saath . Jo loog social media per Tweet or comments Kar rahe hain PCC or shiv k support main these supports didn't vote for them as much as they comments for their favorites.

You have a point. I don’t have problem with his fans voting for him.

I have problem with the makers but letting him reach finale with zero efforts!
It’s not his fault that he won even after zero interest in the show, it’s the makers who are at fault!!!

Rahul roy did not do anything in the house - true.

But he did ashiqui- a legendary movie, still in 2023 people loves to watch it and sings songs from the movie, after so so many years the youth of 2023's follows his hair style! Can u guys at least spare rahul roy and stop compare him with stan? You can love worship stan as much as u like but spare rahul roy,do not dis respect him by doing this comparison.

Makers were minting money. Who do you think made this season a success? It wasn't the audience that always watches BB, but it was the basti and Stan fans who were added to viewership. Hence BB had to keep him and eventually make him a winner. Honestly this season was super dull but the fact it was liked just shows the viewership came from somewhere else.

Trend is changing - viewers have called bull shit on fake love angles, premeditated fights, connecting before the show, and aping sachai ki devi/devta.

I am not disrespecting Rahul Roy or Stan, I ain't a fan of Aashiqui and I am not a fan of Stan's songs either. Liking someone's work is based on personal preference and so there ain't a debate there.

I compared their actions inside the house, both of them were the least active members inside the house and that is a fact. I just pointed out to that and nothing else.

Like you said Rahul has a lot of fans and so does Stan (both are facts too), arguing who is inferior or superior talent wise clearly serves no purpose and definitely wasn't brought up in my post.
